Please do it... Then I could go back to hating Louisville with every fiber of my being.
Not only that, if Louisville went back to Petrino after he jobbed you once and after how he handled his self at Arky, I could have utterly no sympathy when he did it all again to you again.

If Strong does leave, this would be the year to do it with Bridgewater going to the NFL.

UF boosters have made that the worst job in college football. Why on earth would anyone take that job? You get 2 years. If you don't at least go to the SEC championship game, you're gone.

Louisville fans support all of our programs. Last year UofL was #3 in Men's Basketball attendance, #3 in Women's Basketball attendance, #35 in Baseball, #14 in Volleyball, and #28 in Softball all while leading The Big East last season in football attendance.

Easy..because next UF Coach will probably have to be paid $15-$20 Million for a 4-5 year deal...and even if you are fired after 2 years...you still walk away with $15 Million - $20 Million.
Also, odds are the next UF Coach will last more than 2 years...because there is no way UF's offense can get any worse (ranked #103 or higher the last 3 years) so with just a little offense...UF can easily be an 8-4 or 9-3 without any improved talent (just better coaching) and possible better with improved talent.
Odds are their offense recruiting would pick up if it weren't ranked #103 or worse.

I don't know everything that goes on down in Florida, but it says something to me that Urban, a good friend of Strong, left Florida for "health reasons" There is something about that job that makes it less than appealing.
It would be a significant temptation for sure, but maybe not for someone already in a place they like.

Coach Strong will enter the ACC as the HIGHEST Paid coach in the conference.
So it won't be about the money.

LOL... Everyone says this about a different job every year... A couple of years back it was Notre Dame. Then it was Tennessee. Now it is Florida...
The funny thing is that there is NEVER a shortage of coaches ready to head off to these "worst jobs in college football" and they always say "It has been a dream job for me." The UF job will be no different this time around.
FWIW, the next "worst job in college football" will be either Texas or Alabama (depending on if Texas does manage to tap Saban to come to Austin). And there won't be a shortage of top names that line up for those jobs either.

Florida can and will dwarf his salary if they really want him.

1. Do you think CS would leave?
2. Who does UL replace CS with?
Money always talks, only Charlie Strong knows this answer.

More importantly, offer him a bigger budget to pay his assistants. Good luck keeping your assistants if they find out Charlie decided not to take a job that would give them a 50%+ bump in pay.

One thing about Jurich is he already has short list for replacing CS already on speed dial, that he just how he operates. Bobby Petrino would be give a contract with a huge by out clause this time. John L. Smith will be DC and Jeff Brohm will be OC.

Even though Louisville's assistants make more than Florida's do right now?
It's not about how much money anyone "can" pay, as the top athletic departments could pay $25 million a year if they "had" to. It's how much "will" they pay, of which the number becomes more finite, especially when there are multiple options on the table (it will keep any coach outside of maybe Nick Saban from ever approaching $10 million per year anytime soon). It also should also be noted that Florida does not make that much more money than Louisville, about $20 million more per year ($110 million vs $90 million), a gap that will close somewhat in two years once the conference change is complete, and conference related revenues increase by $13 million. Currently I believe Louisville pays more in coaching salaries total than all but four or five schools, so the ability to pay is there. But again, it's not how much you can pay; it's how much you are willing to pay.
