Orlando Sentinel showing Temple some respect
Temple Won't be a Blowout.

While it’s easy to glance at the schedule and throw away this week’s game against one-win Temple, a closer look reveals an opponent that is not prone to blowouts.

The Owls have lost five games this fall by 10 points or fewer, and three games by three points or less – including a 23-20 loss to Rutgers that was decided with 35 seconds remaining. Temple’s biggest loss this season was 30-7 to Louisville on Oct. 5.

UCF may have the strong match-up advantage, but this is not a game that is lining up to be a romp.

Temple has played better lately and if UCF plays like they did @ Memphis you never know but odds are UCF is going to cruise.

Yeah Temple on the road won't be as easy as some think. Could be a trap game after a big win over houston.

People look at 1-8 and say bah they suck. Temple was competitive in all of those games, unlike some other 1-8 teams...

Temple and Iowa State are both teams with awful records that have had some bad luck and could be much better than their records indicate. No reason to believe Temple is FIU, unfortunately for us.

I expect UCF to win, but not by a wide margin. That QB Walker for Temple will be a good one (lots of good young QBs in this conference, huh?), and I think he will play well on Saturday.

And of course, anything can happen on any given Saturday.

I watched the Temple notre dame game early in the season and thought Temple would win at least 5 games this season. I don't think 1-8 is reflective of Temple' talent. Could be a close.

Current Saturday forecast is 57 for the high and partly sunny. Weather should not be a factor for the Noon game.

At 57 degrees, our Miami kids will have hypothermia by the end of the 1st quarter.

Definitely not. It was strange, because we played pretty damn well against ND and just unraveled from there. I think we're starting to figure out who can really play and put us in the best position to succeed. The secondary is still awful, but other than that, I dont think we're as bad as people think. If you looked at our record, you'd think we were losing 60-3 every game like we used to. We've been in every game we've lost other than Louisville and even that didn't at all feel like an FSU/Savannah State kinda game. A couple bounces here and there, and we're 5-4 or 4-5 right now.

I respect Temple and I'm worried about this game. UCF is capable of beating every team on the schedule, but we're also capable of losing to every team on the schedule.

Very deceiving record and a huge trap game for UCF. Hopefully GOL keeps these guys focused.
