Houston hit a 3 at the shot clock buzzer to put it away late. Texas State had their chances.

Yep...TXST's offense broke down in the last minute and half or so...they were forcing shots and it seemed like that each one of them wanted to be the "guy" to put it away...but they came up empty.

Not sure how good Houston is because i don't follow college hoops, but I saw a huge improvement from last year's team. They kept fighting for one.
We were outmatched in this game, but managed to make it come down to the wire. Danny Casper will transform TXST basketball in 2-3 yrs.

By most accounts Houston should be a pretty good team this year in a good conference. Texas State played them pretty well, first game of the season is hard to tell what each team will be. But Texas State looks like they could turn things around quicker then some may have expected.

UTA losses 116-87. Boise, with all their starters back, were just as I remember. Like last year, they killed us from the 3.
Stuart Lagerson's performance concerns me. He needs to fill the shoes of Jordan Reeves and came away with zero points, one rebound, one assist and four fouls. Defensively, he may be the key.
I don't know how much is the new rule and how much is the players, but if we can score this high this consistently, I am hopeful the season will mean something. We didn't even come close to having four guys score in double digits last year, very few 20-pointers either.
I think by the time Weber St comes to town or when we go to OU to fulfill the home-and-home, we will have a better idea of where we stand. As it is, we know Boise is a good team.

Are you interested to in what the Hoax does, if not what is interesting about it.
Andrew Wiggins first game, the guy who the media won't shut up about
So you got a woody about a Kansas player from Canada whose closest connection to Louisiana is a brother who plays for SLU. He is not the highest rated player in the McDonald All American class, and Kansas is supposed to put a butt whuppin on ULM.
Still cannot see the interest worth mentioning. Was the Dawgs close to landing this kid? Were the Dawgs in the running at all for this kid? Sorry I just do not see the interest level being enough to mention the game by anybody but a ULM fan.
By the way the kid you have a woody for went five for nine, three rebounds, and 34 minutes of play, sure hope that keeps your woody hard.

I see us at 4-9 by the time conference play starts. a potential losing record this year. and I was very optimistic about the girls team until last night.

Very encouraged by USA's win last night. Detroit is coming off a 20 win season (although they lost a lot of firepower) and were much bigger than the Jags, but USA mostly controlled the boards. The four freshmen guards they'll be depending on very heavily played well.
