Didn't notice. That's even funnier. Guess that counts as 2 for the other team? In that case, I hope that luck holds. 04-cheers

They gave the points to Montavello, UK's opponent. Pretty wild.

How do they decide who on Montavello's team gets credit for the basket?

Was it counted as a 3-pointer since he was behind the arc?

I could be wrong, but I think they gave it to the guy whose shot was blocked.

Oddly enough, they only counted it as a 2 pt shot.

RE: OT - Crazy play in Kentucky Exhbition game
NCAA Rule 5.1.2.a: “When a player scores a field goal in the opponent’s basket, it shall count two points for the opponent regardless of the location on the playing court from where it was released. Such a field goal shall not be credited to a player in the scorebook but shall be indicated with a footnote.”

Not credited to anyone but only with a footnote and on a own goal no matter where the ball was released from will be 2 points.

It is credited as a "team" basket. Here is a box score from the game.
