I've seen them with interlocking letters thrown in the middle, actually being diminutive in relation to the state outline. I had never seen the actual mascot take up the majority of the state.

Clearly a rip off. Obviously the shape of NC is what it is, but ECU is the one with the foresight to use it in any capacity.

It's really nothing to be mad about. It's just very funny that a school that so passionately claims superiority to ECU, has copied us multiple times. A school that says they would dominate us on the field just by waking up that morning, has a losing record against us over the last 30 years. They even got an ECU dropout as an AD.

thats a blatant ripoff. Incredible and embarrasing for NC State. ECU fans have a right to be annoyed by this. That said ECU's looks 10x better and its not even close.

It's a rip off if they wanted to do a logo using the state they should've put their block S logo inside it not the wolf face. It's exactly like ours it's a rip off

I hope that logo is still on the field when we get there.

I agree with what most have said here, ECU's logo looks much better.

If you are going to rip-off someone's idea, you should at least make sure your version is better than the original.

Yep. Also Illinois has been alternately using that logo for years, so it is not original to UNC.
