I would have thought this thread would have had more traction. A Conference Championship is important. These kids work hard. An University should be judged by more than just 1 sport....shouldn't it? Congrats again UCF.04-rock04-cheers

I'm a big fan of women's soccer. Went to many games over the past couple years. With that said, do you go to games? It is pretty obvious most people don't care. I don't know what the attendance is like at UCF or UL but if you assume that us message board posters make up about 1% of fans (which is probably fairly accurate in my completely random guestimation) that would make like 2 or 3 ECU fans that go to ECU women's soccer games and post on message boards.

ECU doesn't even have mens soccer and we recently built a brand new soccer stadium. I am glad that UL and ECU and others care enough to give nice facilities to the other sports, but that doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of our fans who care about football and men's basketball don't care about the rest of the sports.

I for one am with you though, all Pirates (or in your case Cardinals) sports matter.

I have attended ONE women's soccer game in person, and truth be told, I had a BLAST.

We sat behind the opposing teams goalie for each half and heckled the sh!t out of her. I didn't know the names of any of the players but I made nicknames for them. The one that stood out to me was "The Spunky One" who apparently is on a professional team now.

Did you prefer the work ethic of the center back, the creativity of the number 10, the sheer power of the winger, or the hand talent of the keeper?
