Tulane is bowl eligible for the first time in 11 years. That feeling our fanbase has right now is just pure and overwhelming joy. We weathered the storm! Thank you to all the fans on here cheering us on. Ithas meant a lot to us Greenie posters. I know its fun to poke at a losing team but now we get to cross our arms and nod approvingly each time the clock clicks zero knowing we're on such an adventure.

Tulane had 9 tackles behind the line against Tulsa. That kind of pressure from the DL forces teams into mistakes and allows the defense to make plays. Doesn't show up in boxscores.

Good job Tulane. Best thing is you gain 2 weeks practice. But selling new conf and Bowl game cant hurt with recruits.

ive always been a proponent of Tulane. People who wanted USM were very short sighted. Crap city, no airport, etc. Tulane is in new orleans and is academically tremendous, if they ever did become any good it would be exponentially better for the conference than a good southern miss. Glad Tulane became good right away.

On-Campus Stadium talk has got to be a contributing factor. UCF had a similar turnaround with On-Campus stadium talk.

It gets recruits, I guess. It excites the fan base.

After repeated promises that it would be ready, the latest word seems to be "October 1, 2014" or something like that.

I would be extremely let-down if it's not ready by the start of the season, and I don't think there is any good reason why it shouldn't be ready by the start of the season. That would be an embarrassment to the university (if it's not), publicity-wise.
But whatever happens, happens.
