Let's see how 2013 plays out first before making predictions for 2014.

Hard to say year to year. There is a lot of solid teams but no real powerhouses.

Big fan of homerism. Just win CUSA first, then worry about that afterwards.

Judging by the recruiting sites for the last few years, how they've looked so far this year, the coaching, and since I don't really know the teams my tiers looks like this:
UC/USF/UCF/Houston (USF has the coach needed and recruiting is stellar, UCF could drop a little due to unknown new QB and sanctions continuing to hurt, Houston needs to upgrade defense, Cincy needs consistency on offense)
SMU/ECU (SMU needs an easier ooc schedule, ECU recruiting needs to pick up to catch up with the others)
UCONN/Memphis (Memphis recruiting needs to pick it up and may be a year away as a result, UCONN has some coaching issues)
Temple/Tulane/Tulsa (Temple needs to stabilize their coaching staff, Tulsa and Tulane need to pick up their recruiting)

You can knock UC down several pegs if CTT can't perform any better than this....we went from AAC 'flagship' type program to AAC middling or worse in one hire. unreal

Don't worry about the recruiting we got some good ones that we are in with. They are just waiting to see where Fuente is taking the program.

We return just about everybody on what should end up a top 25 team this year

The "pecking order" is very fluid. #1 could be #12 in a few years and vice versa.

A lot of very young teams. Houston is also very very young.

RE: The 2014 AAC pecking order for football?
I immediately disregarded those rankings when I saw us in the 2nd tier. If we're currently undefeated with a true freshman under center and a bunch of true and redshirt freshmen and sophomores starting or contributing with major roles, what do you think's gonna happen when they become sophomores and juniors then juniors and seniors?
That ranking is complete garbage. Not only us, but many of these teams are young.

How can SMU and ECU be in the same tier? On field performance isn't even close.

Take a look at your original post, then ask yourself the same question. I really do look forward to playing ECU again, but you are already putting your team in the top of the conference and you're not even in the conference yet.
Come on man!

Meh... let's see how the year plays out. There will realistically be 3 tiers every year.... High chance of competing, medium chance of competing, little chance of competing.

We are one year removed..... let's not get ahead of ourselves. Both of our teams have beaten teams with a lot of money, exposure and years of BCS recruiting....you should know it doesn't matter that much.
