except its the opposite.
if your child took a mensa test and scored genius, then my child is at least average, despite the hanging chads on his SAT.
I agree with that analogy, that would of been more appropriate statement

Ticket scanners were used at every aisle of every gate....the attendance number of just under 29,000 is accurate.

The UL and ASU draws are the mos impressive. We were playing lowly Nicholls and lost our first two games. ASU is impressive to me because it was a Thursday night game.

Given that the USA fans noted an issue with ticket counting, I took it as them using your photo as an estimation of their own attendance.
But... I don't know the history of the two universities and their own animosities, so it could've been a slight.

this. not everything is an attack on you, insecure cajun fans.
we are simply saying if what you guys are saying is true, then our count of 15k is severely erroneous (which a lot of us already suspect is the case)
For real. Get over yourselves. Jesus, everything becomes a pissing match with you guys.

Tig, we had at least that many and I stand by my estimation of 22,000+ at the SUU game.
UL doesn't make up attendance numbers, are you sure the Ladd dump even holds 22,000?
That's rich.

After I saw you guys getting angry on the first page, I went back and reread the first USA posts about attendance. I know how you guys took it but it seems a reach to have jumped to the conclusion that you were being argued with.

lets not group all Cajun fans in that category actually I'm very proud of what USA has accomplished so far this year. I like your school because both of our ROTC programs work well together. Just keep winning don't sweat the small stuff

RE: This Weeks's attendance
UL ROTC, I try very hard not to group folks together, but as I noted in another thread, there is a large block of Cajun fans that seem to want to pick a fight with every small thing. They want to trash schools they deem inferior and trash schools they perceive to be superior. It makes it very hard to be amicable. My advise would be to post more to try and minimize their incessant bickering about every detail that may or (and likely isn't) may not be a slight. Just reading this thread made me realize I am not the only one.
Using this attendance topic as an example, it is impressive that you drew close to 30,000 in your home opener after an 0-2 start with Nicholls in town. NSU doesn't draw much at their own stadium, so most of that, despite the relative proximity to Thibodaux, was Louisiana supporters. However, mentioning that the Colonels may not be any good resulted in two pages of claims of an anti-Cajun bias that doesn't exist. Then it becomes really hard to wish them well. Were more posts by a level head like yours seems to be prevalent, UL would become a little more likable.

I hope you mean one team versus fans of all teams. So far, my perspective has been that most schools fans pull for the other when it doesn't conflict with their own...except one, that is.

Except one? Really? Just because a few Cajun fans have rubbed you the wrong way shouldn't lead you to this misconception. Hell, sometimes their comments bother me. Doesn't mean you have to carry on. Be the bigger person.
I hate ULM, but I was pulling for them to beat Wake Forest - as I know many other Cajuns fans were doing.

BINGO. We have no quarrel at all with being outdrawn by a SBC brother (that's YOU, Louisiana), our quarrel is with our own attendance counting methods being so "off" this year for whatever reason.

I don't speak for all the Cajun fans and won't defend them that's there right, but I feel a lot are bitter that we are still in this conference which turned out to be the better conference this year, its ok to bash each other but when we all step out of conference we must stick together no matter what your rivalry is with the school. I personally want a rivalry with GaSo but I support them until we play. I agree if you work hard to get folks to your games you want to be counted especially by your own folks.

It is either that there are more of the anti-SBC Cajuns, or those that loudly voice their displeasure, than there are of of teams or that it is the same number as other teams but their posts are more numerous and caustic than those like yours. Your total post count, combined with ROTC's equals one of their guys a day.

UTA, get a football team then you can chime in. How can you be so critical when you don't even play football. This is why I hate to see teams added that aren't all sports.

Because they have a stake in how the SBC does and appears to others? Regardless of whether they have a team or not, he follows the football teams and supports them.
I also feel he has a different perspective from not having a team. Sees it all without bias towards any one team.
