Not one reception by Canada or Sebastiano. How does that happen?

The passing game was not there today. Other than a lot of short tosses to TLL and Daron Brown, Jordan did not throw the ball very well. The few times the ball was thrown to A.J. or Canada, they were covered. We didn't throw the long ball like we did against Iowa.

It was a frustratingly conservative game plan. NIU almost never tested Idaho deep.

Yep, first time NIU is 2-0 in over a decade. It'd be nice if every road win was sexy; it just isn't going to happen.

I have the same complaint as the Iowa game. Kick the damn field goal. That is all.

I didn't see a minute of the game today either, but the defense is a bit of a concern. Having 11 sacks and still giving up 35 points leads you to believe the LBs and DB play was a lot of bad. I think #44 is going to be all sorts of fun to watch, though.

I really hope people shut up about "winning big" now. It's hard to win on the road. This won't be the last time they struggle against a team they're better than.

First 2-0 start since 2003.

How are penalty yards factored into the stat line? NIU had 107 penalty yards most of which were personal fouls like grabbing the facemask or late hits. Do those numbers show up in Idaho offense stats (assuming a penalty on the d).

Also the D showed up in the second half. Does anyone know the splits for 1st vs 2nd half.

And they were burned deep at Iowa more than once.

Wait until we get an all pass team with a good QB - WR combo.......like next week, perhaps?

Granted the DB's did not play well, but it was our Linebackers who got toasted multiple times covering receivers or running backs on wheel routes.

The D made the adjustment in the 2nd half and they were fine.

Any Off Coor would love to get man coverage with an OLB covering a scat back, on a wheel route. They burned Lemon twice and Santa once on the same play by the same back. On none of the plays was there DB support.

Couldn't watch the game, but listened to it on the radio. Sounded like a sloppy game by NIU all around really. Maybe the bye week didn't really help at all being the 2nd week of the season. Hopefully they use this as a learning experience. 2-0 is all that matters though and a win is a win.
