PS I like the DJ at the game!
As they used to say, his best is none too good.
As Fleck said at his press conference this week, if your best isn't good enough it's time to change your best.
I support Fleck in so much as he is our coach. I was really impressed with the student support last weekend, and I am impressed with his ability to recruit.
I'm less than impressed with his coaching. In the end, that is what he will be judged on. If we have some of these questions in 2015, it's time for a new coach.
If your best isn't good enough, change your best?
Wow, is that profound or what? Something like the "compass is the direction" statement. Mr. Obvious?
So what does that mean. We are now going to do something different?
I would more focus on, what we did vs. Nicholls was not our best, that we were not performing very well.
I'd be more comfortable hearing, we didn't perform very well, and we will do better next week. We don't need more change, we now need to work on performing.

RE: The "I support Coach Fleck" Thread
Yeah, he's been listening and quoting those self help people too long. Doesn't apply very well here, I don't know what's more concerning, his using those type of statements, or the eagerness of a certain audience to receive it so gladly.
"Change your best". <sigh>

The sin isn't falling down. The sin is not getting back up.

That's what I said a year ago. And the boat has moved down-river!! :)

Coach Fleck just keeps this boat rowing in the right direction, no doubt.

I'm somewhat disappointed that coach didn't get a verbal commit from BSU's top recruit in the minutes following the game. Ah well. On to Cincinnati.

So glad we didn't get saddled with Chuck Martin, but it's been a real benefit to Notre Dame unloading him.

Yes, however did ND get to BCS title game with Martin on staff?
Miami has already scored more points this year than they did all last season.
He's matched Fleck's Year One win total, too.

I find it hilarious that the same people all over Dip's back talking about CMU constantly, are the same ones talking about how great EMU and Miami's hires were... 2-4, 1-6.
