It's pretty sad to make fun of our program this way.

But it was pretty funny. If you don't laugh right now, you might cry. 03-hissyfit

There are more important things than football.
But I can't remember them right now.

Not as many spots as in years past. I'd feel ok about it with 8 wins though.

I think 8 is the magic number as well. Four out of our last five is doable with the way the Admiral has the team playing these days.

RE: Bowling possibilities
There is talk from our commish that the B1G may not be able to fill the Detroit bowl slot, so we (MAC) might just jump in and save that sorry bowl's butt after they threw the MAC under da bus.

Think a Michigan MAC team could draw a crowd there? One from the west side of the state?

RE: Bowling possibilities
Theres not much evidence to suggest it thus far. Our two games at Ford Field have not exactly been a success at the gate. I'd rather go just about anyplace else to be honest. Now that I don't live in Michigan anymore.

I was very proud of our efforts at the gate in both of those, and VERY happy to have been there. Lost my voice when we beat Illinois.

I mean I was there too and had a blast but we didn't show up in the numbers that CMU did and thats just a fact. The Illinois game didn't draw 20K. Im not sure about the LCPB. I think we're a better draw than some random team but by no means are we going to be filling Ford Field (or the lower bowl) on our own.

RE: Bowling possibilities
Not to get ahead here, but one of the warmer destinations in December would be much more appealing than Detroit. But at this point, any bowl game will do.

The LCPB had a crowd of about 46K, IIRC. I was there and we had a good turnout.

RE: Bowling possibilities
No doubt but it holds 60k and CMU still has the top two attended games in that bowls history. I think being 7-5 for the game tampered excitement some. If we go into a Detroit game as MAC champs then I think we would be having a different conversation.
