It's amazing how full the stadium looked even with the stupid party deck. I really wish they'd sell standing room only tickets there and give it its own entrance and gate it off. That way people don't leave their seats during the game and we can increase our capacity.

I can relate to that - Charlotte's new stadium has these huge spacious concourses on the top of the bowl and people leave their seats and stand on it and it leaves chunks of seats open... I know they built the concourses to eventually have another level above, but until then, it just creates a place to hang out and still see the game... I kind of wish they'd sell standing room only to fill it in or something.

I will never understand why on earth some people care how other people spend their time at the stadium they paid to go see. I tend ot like to go to the Party Deck at half time, for example, and guess what: your suggestion means I can't. And your suggestion means that thousands of fans will go underneath to congregate and instead of being on the party deck, will be outside of the bowl. You know the reason the deck was put there.

Some fans are so moronic to care what other people think as opposed ot enjoying yourself. what you do when you watch the game is your business (so long as you are not disturbing others or breaking the law). Telling someone else which amenities in the stadium they are allowed ot use; take that **** somewhere else.

Maybe I'll just tell you to stop going to bars to watch road games, so that you can stay home and help the ratings. That is literally how stupid that sounds.

Wow why don't you twist my words some more. The party deck makes our stadium looks less full on TV, and as you know, perception is everything in today's college football world. If you want to watch the game from there, no problem, buy a ticket for the party deck and sell your empty seat to someone who plans on filling it.

You want to go on about your First Amendment rights or some BS when all I'm trying to do is make a simple suggestion. Go get offended somewhere else.

Jezz Guys just chillout some. It's all good. I could care less about what some other school fans think if some fans are drinking under the stadium seats. The onfield action is all that matters anyway.

I did not twist your words: you repeated what I said - "perception is reality" vs. "some fans are so moronic to care what other people think as opposed to enjoying yourself." Thank you for proving my point. I said, as you just confirmed, you are concerning yourself with how other people enjoy watching the game, all in the vein of what other people think. 03-melodramatic That is petty, pathetic, and moronic, hence the example of me telling you to watch road games at home in front a Nielsen box instead of going to a bar and watching it or watching at home.

I don't watch the game from there; but I like to visit the party deck at half time. Some people prefer to watch the game from there, and that is their choice. For some it is a better view: for others easier access to food and drink. And for many, it is the only way they can watch with their buddies, who have seats in different part of the stadium. This isn't a first amendment issue, it is "a you removing yourself from other people's business issue." The deck was built to ease conjestion underneath the bowl, where people USED to congregate during games, thus allowing paying fans to be able congregate and still watch the game. That is the purpose of it. And the deck is a far better option than the previous situation, which idiots who shat on the party deck always fail ro remember. Not to mention your option only works a) when the rest of the stadium is sold out, and b) puts too many people in the stadium compared to the current concession, restroom, and facility options. Also c) it takes away my ability to use the party deck that is already included in the price I pay for my tickets, just to appease someone who is still in high school and wonders what the "cool kids" think about them. And yes I said that, and that is because you are acting like a teenager, worried about what someone else (who is already watching Louisville on TV BTSW) thinks, even though they cared enough to watch but not to go to the game, we should change things around to appease them? That is just stupid. You would think some people would realize that there is a REASON people use the deck. There is a REASON NFL stadiums are all renovating themselves to add such decks, and there is a REASON the university goes out of its way to get people on the deck BEFORE the games. 01-wingedeagle

The ultimate irony is the people and fans you are wanting to "impress" by not having people on the party deck, are the very same fans who are actually wish they had one in their own stadium. 04-jawdrop

Some people don't like being in big crowds and watch at sports bars or home. Others like being seen with the crowd. Others have other things going on that weekend but still follow the game. Not all fans sit in their seat the whole time. Just human nature.

Oh that guy. Yeah I know "that" guy. The craft beer guy? Only likes a beer that is thick enough to be used as motor oil, and looks down on people who drink the "piss water" American beer. They look down on others yet can't figure out why the nasty beer he is drinking, of whom a spilled kegs worth once shut down an entire block because people thought there was a sewage leak, is not as popular as all of the other beers? My best friend is one of those guys. 01-wingedeagle I have to remind him he used to be the biggest Budweiser guys around.

Yeah, I know a few of them.

I like my Miller Lite. I drink it with my Woodford on the rocks. Always with a bottle of water at my side :cheers"

What if Your Boss gave You tickets and You sold them ? Out on Probation. Drinking alcohol while under age. Can't escape that camera !

Miller, Bud, Coors, Nati, Beast or whatever other cheap American beer is p*ss beer. It's perfect for things like tailgating, where you're likely outside in the heat and grilling prior to games. It's not as alcoholic and isn't as heavy, but it absolutely is worse tasting than many "craft" beers.

Many craft beers aren't even "thick" or dark, as you seem to assume, and don't even contain ABV's all that higher than the cheap and awful, mass-produced American lagers.

Pitt also did a panorama of the FSU game.

That wasn't an "assumption." It was an exaggeration for effect (and humor). But most craft beers, I am not a fan of. I prefer the traditional American pilsner. heavier beers I don't typically care for. If I want something heavier I'll drink Woodford Reserve, Makers Mark, or Knob Creek. One thing that I don't like about craft beers is they are typically not served as cold as others. When they are served ice cold, I do like them better. But for some reason many are supposed to be served slightly warmer than other beers. 03-hissyfit I do love me some Smithwicks and similar beers. I like Guiness (though I tend to not like Guiness style imitators). Bourbon barrel is good sometimes as well. But nine times out of ten, if given the choice, no matter the price, I will choose a Miller Lite over all of those. The tenth time is out at a club, where I want something to drink slower (long lines and pricey) then I will get a Smithwick's on tap, as that is the ultimate tap beer.

But it does appear you are "craft beer" guy. 01-lauramac2

If the TV people would actually film people on the party deck I think this issue would be resolved. I understand not wanting empty seats being shown during the broadcast, and I like to go to the party deck myself. My children like the break from my flight deck seats so they go there as well with their mother. Most times, I'm glued to my seat. If the tv people would show the rock'n party deck, especially everyone watching the game from there, then I think this issue would be resolved. 04-cheers

I don't give a damn where you watch the game. Not true. At least at a college game I'd PREFER as many fans being as loud and rambunctious as possible. But I don't get overly vested one way or the other.

Thing I dislike most is if a fan wants to do just that, stand and yell and cheer...and then some person behind him b*tches for them to sit down. I get both fans' right, but I definitely side more with the person who is standing and cheering. You had to know this was a sporting event and that people might stand up in front of you, right?

You may be right about the temperature. I'm not sure, but I don't recall ever having a "craft" beer and thinking damn that's cold. For me, I always remember drinking the cheap light/lite stuff in college, and if it wasn't ice cold it tasted like my own arse. You get more of its "true" flavor if it's a little warmer - good or bad. Some beers are "meant" to be drank/drunk(?) at room temperature but I don't think you see that too much in the States. Truthfully, some of the craft beers I've had tasted kind of bad when they were first served and I wasn't much in favor of them (I like to try new stuff). And honestly, SOME of them actually started to taste better halfway through as it warmed up because I had been milking my time with it. Craft beers, to me, simply have stronger - in my opinion better - flavors. But you don't just jump from a Miller Lite to a Stone Espresso Imperial Russian Stout, Sixpoint Resin (Imperial IPA) or Victory Golden Monkey (Belgian Tripel) overnight. Those 3 would taste just like a warm light beer (arse). And even after growing fond of craft beers, I still dislike the Belgian style.

I'm sure you'd find plenty of craft beers you like if you took the time. But the world isn't going to end if you don't. And if it does end, damn you. I'm heading to the Miami/Florida game tomorrow (tailgating only with UF/UM peeps I know here in Miami - I'll be damned if I'm paying $150 for two teams I hate) and I'm going to bring a make-your-own-6pack from Publix and 36-48 of the CHEAPEST beers I can find (not all for me) for various extracurricular activities. Those light American beers have their purpose: College parties and tailgaiting. Woot!
