The party deck makes our stadium looks less full on TV, and as you know, perception is everything in today's college football world. If you want to watch the game from there, no problem, buy a ticket for the party deck and sell your empty seat to someone who plans on filling it.
You want to go on about your First Amendment rights or some BS when all I'm trying to do is make a simple suggestion. Go get offended somewhere else.
I did not twist your words: you repeated what I said - "perception is reality" vs. "some fans are so moronic to care what other people think as opposed to enjoying yourself." Thank you for proving my point. I said, as you just confirmed, you are concerning yourself with how other people enjoy watching the game, all in the vein of what other people think.
That is petty, pathetic, and moronic, hence the example of me telling you to watch road games at home in front a Nielsen box instead of going to a bar and watching it or watching at home.
I don't watch the game from there; but I like to visit the party deck at half time. Some people prefer to watch the game from there, and that is their choice. For some it is a better view: for others easier access to food and drink. And for many, it is the only way they can watch with their buddies, who have seats in different part of the stadium. This isn't a first amendment issue, it is "a you removing yourself from other people's business issue." The deck was built to ease conjestion underneath the bowl, where people USED to congregate during games, thus allowing paying fans to be able congregate and still watch the game. That is the purpose of it. And the deck is a far better option than the previous situation, which idiots who shat on the party deck always fail ro remember. Not to mention your option only works a) when the rest of the stadium is sold out, and b) puts too many people in the stadium compared to the current concession, restroom, and facility options. Also c) it takes away my ability to use the party deck that is already included in the price I pay for my tickets, just to appease someone who is still in high school and wonders what the "cool kids" think about them. And yes I said that, and that is because you are acting like a teenager, worried about what someone else (who is already watching Louisville on TV BTSW) thinks, even though they cared enough to watch but not to go to the game, we should change things around to appease them? That is just stupid. You would think some people would realize that there is a REASON people use the deck. There is a REASON NFL stadiums are all renovating themselves to add such decks, and there is a REASON the university goes out of its way to get people on the deck BEFORE the games.
The ultimate irony is the people and fans you are wanting to "impress" by not having people on the party deck, are the very same fans who are actually wish they had one in their own stadium.
