Charleston still needs NCAA approval because of the no postseason events in South Carolina deal. Little Rock is going to need another conference to join in to get off the ground.

Why oh why could the MAC and SBC have just signed on for the game in Little Rock instead of Montgomery.
War Memorial is a high quality facility to watch a football game, IMO.

I know a lot of Razorback fans want to move all their games out of the stadium because they think its a dump.
I'm not sure its a dump, but it could still use some renovations.

It is a very nice facility and in a great location compared to a lot of bowls. The neighborhood and the golf course are great for a game.

I hope Sun Belt officials are trying hard for the Boca Raton bowl game. That could become one of our best bowl options in competition, location, weather, TV exposure and fun. Why the MAC is being talked about for that game, when the Sun Belt is so much closer and actually fills its stadiums, is beyond me.

Boca Bowl is CUSA vs. MWC or AAC

No official announcement of the bowl in Boca Raton, nor its participants (other than a CUSA team) have been made. So, the Sun Belt ought to be in there negotiating. Surely, we can show our conference would make a better opponent than the MAC, some of whose members are more than 1,000 miles away and have pitiful attendance numbers.

Boca Bowl will be CUSA vs. AAC/MWC

That has not been officially announced. The bowl is not even official yet. ESPN is talking with those other conferences. Why not us?

I'm sure they are talking with everyone. Being in Texas I could care less about the Boca Bowl against the CUSA #6/7. I'd say we would never end up there, but with all but one AAC bowl likely to be to be 1000 miles from Texas we could easily get stuck there.
If I were running the Boca Bowl I would be looking at the AAC (2 Florida teams along with a reasonably close ECU). Id think the Sunbelt, with a number of southern teams would also seem to be a reasonable choice. The MAC and MW make the least sense. It's likely this bowl is going to be between 2 6-6 G5 teams, so its not going to be some huge draw. Better pick conferences with teams that are close in order to maximize ticket sales.

BMarkey is right, C-USA's opponent has not been announced for Boca. MAC has been more closely rumored in the Bahamas.

The Boca bowl will be a huge hit with those who come to it - with a great facility, fantastic community, unbelievable amount of events and attractions, all kinds of water, golf, fishing, scuba, beaches, shopping, entertainment districts, two nearby airports (PBI and FLL) - in 80 degrees or better, right before Christmas. I'll go no mater who plays in it, but then I live 30 minutes away.
