This is the best case scenerio to me. Everyone has a couple of NC schools, a southern school and a NE school. GT has BC as perm crossover, so they may no like it as much.

Yes you liked my plan best :). But no that isn't even perfect either and I realize that. I do think it makes a lot more sense than many other plans put on here.

This is still the best plan that I have seen.
Good job Ragu.

I agree, that's pretty fair for everyone. We lose FSU yearly, but we'll see you every year in the CCG 05-stirthepot

Have Miami and NC State switch division then get rid of crossover rivalries all together. That would be my best case scenario for Louisville.

So you take away the Florida school for UVA, UNC, Duke, GT, Pitt and VT? I don't think so, that's a horrendous idea. Keep in mind UNC, Duke and UVA run the conference, so that's not going to happen. You have a better chance of FSU and Miami switching divisions now that Miami's been in the gutter for 8 years.

If you read thru the thread, I believe he was being facetious in response to others who made suggestions only looking out for their own schools.

Well the ACC has no problem with both VA schools in the Coastal while both of the northeastern most schools (BC/Cuse) are in the Atlantic.

You have no clue what you're talking about. GT wants Duke? Please.. Of course GT admin wants FSU; it's a guaranteed sell out for us and an easy drive to Tallahassee. We don't sell out many games, but when UGA, Clemson, and FSU come to town we do.

We're playing at Clemson for the second year in a row this year and voluntarily gave up the home game for that. This was because every odd year, we had UGA, Clemson, VT, and UNC at home. This made the home schedule on even years very bad and affected ticket sales significantly.

So going forward the home schedule will now be a bit more balanced. However, adding FSU to our schedule every year would greatly improve things.

You think just because GT wants it; Swoff and his cronies will let it happen? You must be new to the league.

I am not new to the league I am actually pretty close to the league, the administration, for some reason, (perhaps you should ask them) why they want to have Duke on their schedule when the divisions were drawn up. Would they like to have FSU every year? Yes. Would every member of the conference?? Yes. Point is GT has asked to be in Dukes, UNC and UVAs division since its creation and has asked for no such change. Why??. GT wanted to be with the other big name academies in the conference Duke, UNC and UVA look good. Don't forget it isn't ADs making these decisions most of the time it is the President of Chancellor making the call. A lot of the time chancellors know little about sports. Telling you what I know. Every member gave up something when expanding. The Carolina schools knew they would no longer face each other annually, FSU lost GT annually but kept Miami and Clemson.

I think that BC should be paired with UVA and UL should be paired with VT.

IMO, BC and UVA have more in common than BC and VT. A couple of mutual years in the BIG EAST can't count for THAT much. Also, I think that VT and UL have WAY more in common with each other than UVA and UL.

I didn't make it. Someone posted it and I put it in my Sig because I had a 12 team simpsons one before. It needs a leprechan for ND and maybe something better than a beer bottle for Pitt. The beer bottle should be for Louisville since y'all actually serve beer at games. The central city goofball is fine for Otto but maybe make him all Orange.
