RE: Unity
The MAC had seven bowl teams and some big out of conference wins anythings possible.Hire the right coach a little momentum any team can win.
Utah ST and Ohio U are recent examples of traditionally losing teams on a roll .Ark ST ,UL-Lafayette ,UL-Monroe and Troy all seem to be on the rise.
Texas ST,APP ST , GA Southern ,GA ST, and USA all have great potential.

NMSU plays UTEP and UNM yearly I believe so if they get on a roll those are beatable OOC teams.Idaho brings the conference exposure in the Pacific Northwest .Idaho's fan base is excited about its new coach he's kind of a perfect fit.Everyone has work to do but potential to get it done .

Two bowl wins is the most any current or future member has so no power house programs.I think the SBC will be ahead of C-USA and the MAC soon .The MWC is very over rated let Boise slip and catching them will be possible. The MWC was 1-4 in bowl games and the top three teams left yet they still hold onto that prestige.

Yes I agree and for the record I don't dislike Georgia Southern but we all had to do something to keep busy. Good luck to all the current and future SBC Teams.

Say it ain't so! Power ranking higher than CUSA and what appears to be an optimistic board. Man I hope we can pull our weight next year. Good luck everybody! 04-cheers

You will learn to. Got to admit, Georgia Southern is the only team I can root like a madman for and still not like them. Guess has to do with playing them each year, and their crummy goat jokes. Nothing else you should grow to respect them.

Same respect/hate dynamic to App as they have for us. We have a deep burning hate for each other, but respect each other more than just about anybody.

We honestly don't care if we are hated, but we will earn that respect!

I can definitely see us developing a few more relationships with other teams like that.

Whatever happens on home team boards, lets leave it there, and let this be a place to support our schools and the conference as a whole. Over the summer months, we've let everyone kind of bash each others brains in, but it's time to put some of that talk to rest. We have game weeks in which we'll be allowed to have some spirited debate, and yes, to do some smack talk (as long as it's not over the top), but right now, in celebration of the arrival of football, lets have a more positive attitude around here about our teams and our conference as a whole (regardless of what your opinions of your teams conference affiliation).

Remember, your team will garner very little respect if you beat up on a conference that has no out of conference wins, so the better your opponents in conference do, the more respect your team will garner down the line. Good luck SBC.

I am supporting every SBC team including the newest members. I wish a winning season for all of our teams and the conference. Good Luck to every school, coach, athlete and fans.

Sorry fellas, I just can't do it. The only time I will ever pull for ULM is when they play Tulane. As far as GaSo is concerned I hope they lose every game. I know I will continuously be disappointed this season by these two, but I don't hide my colors.

Had it not been for Dabeed and his crew I'd pull against WKU too, but them some good dudes up there.

And some people say we're not rivals. If we win this year and stay good post kolton era I can see this rivalry getting really good. The hate is definitely getting to the point of a great rivalry and you wouldn't have to read this board very long to see it.

I can respect that. I'll be pulling for ULL in every OOC game only because it's good for my team if they win. That kind of hate makes for a good football game. ULL has a great program with tons of great history, potential, fan support, and talent to choose from. Hurry up and put your best hog on the fire fella! That's definitely one team I could never pull for. My hate for LTUR runs deep. If a read this board long enough may be I'll get the same way about y'all:). Just haven't been hear that long, but the back and forth between Cajuns and warhawks on here tells me that our fan bases are getting very close to that great type of Rivalry hate.
