What are your personal goals for your team this season?
What would you be satisfied with your team achieving this season? What personal goals do you want to see met?

For the Louisville Cardinals...
1) Beat UK
2) Beat Cincinnati
3) Beat Memphis
4) Win at least 8 games
5) Win a conference championship
6) Win a bowl game
7) Finish in the Top 25

Anything greater, above and beyond, would be icing on the cake!

For my Liberty Flames...
1) Beat Kent St.
2) Beat Coastal Carolina
3) Win at least 8 games
4) Win a conference championship
5) Win at least one FCS playoff game
6) Finish in the Top 25

For VT:
Win 9 games - anything more than that seems like a pipe dream right now.

RE: What are your personal goals for your team this season?
To make me FULLY SATISFIED will require 14-0 and National Champs.

But I guess the OP meant the MINIMUM I would be satisfied with, so here goes:

option 1: beat Alabama + beat Virginia + win any other 4 games + get to a bowl = satisfaction
(in other words, if we beat Bama & UVA, and I assume the other 3 non-conf games too, we could lose 6 of the other 7 ACC games and I wouldn't care)

option 2: lose to Alabama + beat Virginia + beat Pitt + win any other 6 games + get to a bowl + WIN the bowl = satisfaction
(i.e. if we lose to Bama - especially if we get drilled - I need to know that we at least avenged the loss at Pitt and kicked UVa again in order to be content)

NOTE: IMO, Next Year is VT's year; this is a rebuilding year.

Pinstripe is American vs. B12 this season.

Given the coaching transition, qualifying for a bowl would be a successful season this year for SU.

9 wins. Beat Duke, State, and upset South Carolina. Win Coastal. Make a Bowl Game that I can attend. Such as Belk or Chick-Fil-A

Pitt:

Get through it and develop players so that we're ready to compete in two years or so. We're going to stink this year. We've had too much coaching and player turnover over the past few years and this is the year that bill comes due. Next year will be better and the year after that - if things go according to plan - we should be back on our feet. However, 2013 is going to be a tough year for my beloved Pitt Panthers, IMHO.

RE: What are your personal goals for your team this season?
14-0, National Champs

Really, I'm hopeful for something like this...

1. Beat Penn State in Metlife and Northwestern on the Road
2. Cruise through Wagner and Tulane at home
3. Be ranked by this point
4. Utilize BYE week to give Clemson hell in the Dome, win or lose
5. 1-3 ACC road record (NCSU, GT, UMD, FSU)
6. 3-1 ACC home record (Clem, WF, Pitt, BC)

Bonus: Win bowl game

9-4 (4-4), in top 25

#1 and #2 seem a little at odds with #3.

-------------------------

These are more my expectations than goals.

1. A 10-2 (7-1) regular season (minimum)

2. Only acceptable losses are at Clemson and at Florida (both winnable)
* This means inexcusable losses to a Virginia, NC State or Wake Forest can't happen, even if we still finish 10-2 (7-1) or better

3. Undefeated at home (only Miami should pose a threat)

4. If we fall at Clemson (finish 2nd in the Atlantic) - making the Peach Bowl
* If we beat Clemson (finish 1st in the Atlantic) - winning the ACC CG against whomever the opponent is and making the Orange Bowl

Meet an ACC team in the national championship game and formally introduce them to the Ville.

First two are indeed unrealistic goals. Just want to see two huge wins at home.

Never set your goals low! Always expect the National Championship, Division Championship and the ACC Championship. To accept less means that you are OK with settling for less! 07-coffee3

1) Run up the score on every garbage team on the schedule Petrino style like we did in 2004, especially the Big East leftovers so they can relish in our superiority before mid major irrelevancy hits them in the face
2) Beat Alabama in the title game
3) Ride into the ACC as the country's hottest program
4) Teddy wins the Heisman and is drafted #1

RE: What are your personal goals for your team this season?
My personal goal is to attend all 7 home games this year in Chapel Hill.
If I can accomplish that goal it would be the 44th consecutive year that I have not missed a Carolina home game played in Chapel Hill.

For me there is no better place to spend a football Saturday than "the Southern part of Heaven".
Go Heels!
