You act like he has raped and pillaged. I am sure your "letter" will get all the consideration it deserves.

In almost all cases their perception, reflexes, sight, reaction time, decision making ability, hearing are worse than a young healthy guy or gal at .08 or even .10.

Clearly we allow these people on the roads, and we all have to watch out for them. Lucky that most of the time you can spot them going 15 miles an hour on a thirty five mile an hour road.

My point is if it were really about safety, we would start testing people for these important abilities at sixty years of age. So the alcohol issue is more about politics than safety. It also allows insurance companies to recoup some of their losses.

Hey bub. I'm closing in on that 60 and I'm hell on wheels. I get pissed at slow drivers and most of the ones that piss me off on my way home from work are younger than me. In their gas guzzling SUV's, staying in the fast lane because they're going to turn left about 10 miles down the raod so they have to hold up traffic going 50 in a 60 zone. Nothing wrong with my reflexes or my cognitive skills, or my eyesight, or my reaction time.

You don't want to meet up with me on a dark road some Friday night after that remark. 05-mafia

If you truly think Price should be kicked off the team for this, you're out of your mind. I don't by any means approve, but he was doing something 90% of college students do, including the reigning Heisman winner (who didn't even see a suspension). Satterfield is suspending him, I'm not sure how you can complain about not disciplining him.

I'll say it again, if this kid was white, he would have been kicked off the team before the police report even surfaced. Rightly or wrongly. Why isn't that angle being scrutinized?

I don’t want to pile on about how ridiculous this post is, but man is it ridiculous. He is a 20 year old guy who made a couple of mistakes (neither one hurt anybody besides himself). You say “a guy should only be given so many chances”, but judging by this post I guess you mean a guy should only have one chance?

He is being punished for his mistakes. I’ve never been big on the “Every 20 year old does this kind of stuff” argument, but it is reality. He is a 20 year old kid who made a couple of very minor mistakes. The school did the right thing and suspended him, and they are going to make him earn his way back on the team. Kudos to Satterfield and Cobb for doing as much as they have; at a lot of schools, a talent like Price would not sit for these kind of offenses.

You are a living, breathing example of why negative rep. points should exist.

..... "he was doing something 90% of college students do"

I don't know what kind of people you hung out with in school but if 90% of college students act like this our world is in BIG trouble.

The sad part is the action's of one idiot are overshadowing the hard work and effort by the rest of the team.

I was a member of the team from '02 until '04, you are 100 percent correct to assume this. Having seen the double standard in action and a white student had used the racial slurs by this young man, his bags would have been packed before he got out of jail.

This is his second time getting into trouble, getting suspended, and embarrassing our program. That is why I say ENOUGH already.

How many reps did this guy take with the first team throughout fall camp? Now someone not as familiar with the first team has to step in less than a week before the first game. He crapped on his team and school, for the 2nd time.

Negative rep points do exist. I just left you 2 negative points as an example. 04-cheers

This thread is unfortunate and I'm certain what I'm about to post will not help matters, but for me the word represents a person of any race that is ignorant.

It is a word no race should call another human.

For me suspend him 4 - 6 games, anything else even a jay walking ticket, kick him off.
