Don't look now but we might be semi-competent this year.

Pitt better win by a lot. The last time Pitt played Penn State in 2005 Pitt won 91-54. I'm upset we missed out on destroying them some of those years in the late 2000's.

PSU will be better this year than it has been. Pitt has a lot of question marks, especially in the front court. Don't expect that type of blow out. Pitt can't look past them.

I see 8 or 9 ACC wins. Nervous about our chances against MSU. Excited about playing PSU again.

As a Hoosier this is the game I look forward.
Indiana at Syracuse - 7:15 p.m. (ESPN)
Please, please, please repeat what you did to Tom Crean and IU in the tournament. I want there to be no doubt this year that IU has went back to sucking like most of the over rated Big Ten.

I really wish they had left Maryland out of this. Given that they are including teams who didn't play in the ACC last year anyway, they could have easily justified leaving them out and having the odd situation of having them represent the ACC against the conference they are joining next year. That said, if I was scheduling and no one really wants a road game, I guess I'd give it to the one who was leaving too.

The three teams that were left out were the lowest RPI teams from last year.

^^^ This is the new ACC policy w.r.t. the Big Ten Challenge.
So, everything was done by the book

Are they going with last year's RPI going forward or standings. I get using RPI this year, but figured standings would make more sense going forward with this year being an exception.

If Penn State doesn't beat Pitt next year, I'm not sure they ever will. Pitt has lost a LOT and will definitely be down. PSU will allegedly be better than they've been in a long time. In recent years Pitt has consistently pounded Penn State - which is why the Nits ended the series - but this year should be a very interesting game.

Yes, I think that is correct - once all of the new teams have played 1 season, they can use standings. Until then (which probably means next year too for Rutgers, Maryland and Louisville) they will need something that works cross-conference (like RPI).
