RE: Updated Bowl Lineup as of 8/12
why are we still talking bowl games? The bowl tie in's for the AAC are all pieces of s&#@! so who cares....
When a bowl would rather have the SEC #9 instead of the AAC #1 that's all you need to know....

It's even worse than that, because what these bowls are actually signing for is merely a chance to have the SEC #9, which they will get perhaps 3 out of 6 years, rather than our #1 every year.

It's all marketing. The bottom 70% of the P5 are not better than the teams in the AAC. ESPN and the BCS have created this in the minds of the public by showing all their games and pumping money into these leagues. It sucks.
As much as I love college football the BCS and the now P5 (and the stupid bowl system) are continuing to destroy it and any hope for a level playing field. This will eventually kill the golden goose for these leagues I believe.
Why do we still have bowls? The G5 should start pushing for a 16 team inclusive playoff. That's our only hope for the future.

It is all about perception. A high end Chevy is likely better than the equivalent entry level Buick, but the Buick has the brand.
There is no future.

Yes and No. Yes, marketing is a huge factor in why P5 conferences get gobs more money than G5.
But "no", in that being better has little to do with this. P5 conferences get the huge money because they have the schools that draw tons of fan and media interest, whether they are any good or not. E.g., if it was all about winning, Boise would be worth far more to networks and sponsors than Notre Dame, but in fact the opposite is true, because lots more fans care about Notre Dame whether they are winning or not.
I'm not saying winning is meaningless. When I started watching CFB in the 1970s, schools like Miami and FSU had arguably lower profiles than schools like USF and UConn have today. They were not part of the ruling elite. Then by winning big, they were able to build fan bases and media interest and within 10 years were part of the elite. But, you do have to win very big and your fans have to respond to it. E.g., one reason Boise has not reached the elite despite winning very big is that their fan base hasn't taken off. They still draw the attendance of a small-time program.

so we need to sign any bowl we can what is the hold up.
the sec have given there list the big 10 theres the acc as well the MW have signed 6 so we should sign ours what is the hould up
