I'm not sure how Chicago, NYC, and Indy is ranked, while Miami, Orlando, and Tampa isn't. Seeing Cleveland and Cincinnati this high, you'd think that OSU can be a Top 3 school w/ Ohio talent alone. Meanwhile they're getting blown off the field against schools from the south. And w/ 5 of 10 from the B1G, you'd think the B1G would be much stronger than it is.

I live in northeast Ohio and I can safely say that no one in the Cleveland metro area(other than two schools) cares about high school football.

Go south(Akron/Canton/Massillon) for good football

I have read from some that they have always felt the Ohio kids are overrated to a degree esp vs the kids from Texas and Florida. Not saying it's true...but if true, would answer your question somewhat.

The fact that Miami is not No. 1 — much less not even mentioned — makes this list a joke.

They include this area in the Cleveland Metro, why I do not know.

Because it includes the schools in North Jersey, which have a ton of talent.

Methodology is based on having the most really good teams, not how
many D1 recruits the area produces.

That's crazy! Who judges the teams? Philly teams don't play LA teams or Houston teams play Miami teams, so how do you judge teams? "Great teams" may be great because of the coaching where bad teams do not benefit from good coaching.

Look at all the experts who didn't see Jerry Rice as a worthy recruit and win his services. If I'm recruiting I want the best/smartest players first, best athletes second regardless of what high school team they play for.

Sounds like a pretty dumb methodology.

Could be the most useless list I have ever seen, the methodology is absolutely ridiculous. HS rankings, give me a break.

Texas Football Magazine tracks some of these stats-I don't have it in front of me but DFW produces approximately 165 Division 1A High School signees a year which is more than all but about 5 states
