How on earth is what i said a putdown of the AAC? The Indy currently gets the SEC #10 and if the SEC signs again it surely will not be for a higher slot so what i said was accurate. And getting a tie-in either primary or backup WOULD be a good thing for us as well.

At this point, I'm thinking the P5 adding more tie-ins doesn't mean anything. All that is going to happen is they'll have more and more bowl tie-ins that they can't fill and we will end there anyway. Sure, it would be nice to know where we are heading, but I would be shocked if any of our teams are eligible and don't land SOMEWHERE.

The more pressing issue is getting our top teams in the biggest bowl games possible. Whether we have tie-ins for our teams 3-7 means almost nothing to me. They will place them regardless.

Our coaches need to be able to tell recruits that the AAC (1) has more hard bowl tie-ins and (2) significantly more P5 matchups than do the other G5 conferences. It is for recruiting that I am still hoping for a Hawaii Bowl spot.
