This would completely change the feel, culture, and student body of my school. I probably wouldn't have gone to SMU without a top division athletic program. I hate the feeling of fear. I hate being on the outside of these decisions.

I do what I can, but I am only one person. We have a chance this year to prove ourselves, but even that chance has impossible odds. Just venting here... I really hope we stay at the highest level no matter what.

It has not hurt the Ivy or others like MIT, etc.

Nobody is attracted to the Ivy League schools for the sports.

Division 2 isn't bad, I went to one. You just have to get used to your school's center being 6'6"
