Aresco salary question
Does anyone know exactly how much we are paying Mike Aresco?

IIRC, media reports around the time he was hired indicated that he was signed for "more than $1 million". But that's it, I don't recall anything more specific than that. Has anyone ever found exact information about this?

Depends on whether there is the same ratchet-down clause in his contract as there is in OUR contract.

Aresco was hired to run a conference that was projected to make about $8 million a year per school from media deals. But since our membership losses caused that figure to fall to around $2 million, his initial salary of "more than $1 million" should also have been cut about 75% - 80% as well. I wonder if it has? 07-coffee3

So, he should be cut back to about $100,000 then, to match his performance so far. 07-coffee3

I would say that depends on how much he is getting paid. If his deal has been downsized by about the same % as our media deals have been downsized as members left the conference, then yes. But if it's the same "more than $1 million" that he signed for when the expected media deals were about $8m per school, then no way.
