Does anyone know exactly how much we are paying Mike Aresco?

IIRC, media reports around the time he was hired indicated that he was signed for "more than $1 million". But that's it, I don't recall anything more specific than that. Has anyone ever found exact information about this?

I do not know that amount, but what I do know is that what ever the amount is, it is to much!

Depends on whether there is the same ratchet-down clause in his contract as there is in OUR contract.

Aresco was hired to run a conference that was projected to make about $8 million a year per school from media deals. But since our membership losses caused that figure to fall to around $2 million, his initial salary of "more than $1 million" should also have been cut about 75% - 80% as well. I wonder if it has?

So, he should be cut back to about $100,000 then, to match his performance so far.

Nothing wrong with Aresco's current salary.

I would say that depends on how much he is getting paid. If his deal has been downsized by about the same % as our media deals have been downsized as members left the conference, then yes. But if it's the same "more than $1 million" that he signed for when the expected media deals were about $8m per school, then no way.

1 million clams per year.

He doesn't deserve 1 million pennies a year.
