Thompson says 6th bowl game could rotate among 2 or 3 sites. And is likely to be in the Southeast.

Any reason to think this could be a bowl with you guys??

Seems like it

No thank you. Since you said please I will be polite too: Please don't be foolish and talk s--- to a fellow fan. Suggesting that AAC plays MWC in bowl games is bending over? Please tell me how? Maybe to gain your approval I'll start a new thread suggesting that the AAC accept reality and sign bowl agreements with 3 SEC teams 3 Big 10 teams and another ACC team. 03-cloud9

I would rather the MWC #1/2 play the AAC #1/2 instead of our Champion playing the #6/7 from the PAC or B1G

I wouldn't. Neither would most traveling fans. If my choice the last 2 years was Vandy and Duke or whoever won C-USA, I would have gladly chosen who we got.

agree here...I'd rather play a 7-5 miss st than a 10-2 Colorado state for example

I see this as something that may continue because the Ohio based schools have improved over the years, and have had success. Actually last year the MAC had four different teams that at various points were ranked in the top 25 and pretty much controlled their own destiny in terms of a BCS bid.

But more importantly in many years, the Mountain West Conference runner-up, when it's not Boise, does not look any better than the other schools. Sure the old MWC with BYU, TCU, and Utah, along with the others looked good. But now, while Hawaii maintains some cache because they are just different, as does Air Force, who likely chooses military themes bowls anyway, the rest are no better than the MAC champ. The MAC has been a hotbed for coaches and quarterbacks over the years, such as Roethlisberger, Pennington, , Leftwich, Gradkowski, Batch, etc.

Last year was an amazing year for the MAC, but it was by no means a typical year. I wouldn't be so dismissive of the MW. Nevada, SDSU, Air Force, and Fresno would be some of the likely runner up suspects. For instance, this year, Fresno St could easily end up as the runner up. If Carr has a good year, that could be a pretty interesting game.

Vandy and Duke did nothing for me. They are two of the worst division 1 programs out there over the last two decades. Vandy at least is improving but Duke football is still a bad joke.

It's not really dismissing them, I just think they are low enough down the totem poll that a fellow conference champion is a better choice than a second place one of them. In a given year, sure Fresno may be a better draw than say Ohio, but at that point perception wise they all get muttled together (again except for Boise) and a closer conference champion is probably better exposure in a given year. Hawaii is probably an exception, especially if playing @ Hawaii, if only because they are sort of unique, have a BCS pedigree, and usually have future NFL lineman.
