That is strange, seeing as how Brown singed here a full year before Bridgewater even committed to Louisville. 03-banghead

Teddy is a junior this year. Brown is a redshirt junior, with the redshirt year being 2012. When Brown came in, he was competing with Adam Froman (JC Transfer), Justin Brown (NC State transfer), and Will Stein (local walkon) who had all split starts from the year before, with neither claiming the job, and a new coach and staff taking over. . He had a year to claim the job from them, and a second year to claim the job from Stein (while Bridgewater was learning) and Bridgewater himself, who actually was looked pretty bad his freshman year, before beign moved to RB midseason.

Might want to check when Bridgewater committed. I could care less about him, mainly because he wouldn't have played for us either, just positing a question aloud.

Bridgewater committed when I was at the St. Pete Bowl in December of 2010. Brown signed in February and came to campus in August, a full four months before UofL even started recruiting Bridgewater.

Class Pos Rank Rating Name Hometown HT/ WT/ 40 Commit Date Signed LOI?
2011 QB 6 **** Teddy Bridgewater Miami, FL 6-3/192/4.60 12/20/2010 Louisville
2010 QB 37 *** Dominique Brown Cincinnati, OH 6-2/200 2/1/2010

Dominique Brown reporting for duty
While first-year Louisville coach Charlie Strong is in Newport, R.I. for the annual Big East Media Day, one of his top 2010 recruits appears set to report to campus for duty this week. InsideTheVille.com has the scoop.

Dominique Brown, according to Louisville coach Charlie Strong, will report to campus for duty this week.
Brown’s arrival, which Strong confirmed at the Big East Media Day in Newport, R.I. Tuesday, for the start of preseason practice is great news for first-year Louisville head coach Charlie Strong, as the former Ohio star quarterback was one of the marquee recruits in the first-year coach’s 2010 recruiting class.

While senior Adam Froman appears the frontrunner to win the starting job at quarterback this season, Brown could factor into the equation in the backfield in some capacity as a freshman. Regarded as one of the Top 40 quarterback prospects nationally by Scout.com, Brown

Dominique Brown was not rated as a QB, he was rated as an athlete. No way would he ever be the #37 QB in any class.

Take it up with scout. You are batting 0-2 right now, wanna go for the hatrick?

He was rated as a quarterback. Be mad all you want, but quit making **** up.

Sounds good...like I said, I honestly don't care, I was just wondering aloud. The kid made his choice, just like I made mine a few years back, can't fault him for it one bit.

Edit: Just checked, and Rivals and ESPN both had him as an Athlete, so we're both right

I just use Scout since I am a member there and it's easier to pull info. I know he was a QB an dan athlete but we recruited him to be a QB first, primarily because we needed bodies at QB. The main point was he was not given a lip service option because of Bridgewater, who was not only not there, but was not even the first choice at QB that year. That was the disaster that became known as DeMarcus Smith.

Yeah, I remember that year. Loved playing you guys in 2010...we had no business winning that game if there was a serviceable QB on your roster.
