That's fair enough Bragg...
I laugh at guys like Reece who think that UL would have to beat everyone by 4 TDs, or whatever, to have a shot at playing for the NC.
They have some very tough tests vs. UCF, RU and UC. There are some UL fans who lament having to play in this conference one more year. But, guess what - their OOC schedule is the chopped liver, not the AAC.
I have mixed feelings with avoiding UCF. While, with a new coach, we need all the breaks in the schedule as we can get, with the overall ease of our OOC (two bottom B1G teams, Miami-OH and and FCS), we need all the tough games we can get.
But, Cincy has never received credit for their good wins either, so who knows?

RE: American Athletic Conference Q & A
I understand the AAC worst nightmare would be Louisville and Rutgers dominating football in 2013 and Louisville dominating basketball in 2013-2014. You can just imagine the negative press that the AAC would get in 2014, if we do. All I can say is we will have to win it, but we have the horses to do it, too!

That's a different story.
Statement A: I'd say there's a 50% chance that UL goes 10-2 or 11-1, but winning half of their games by less than 10. There's say a 25% chance that Louisville runs the table the way Notre Dame did last year.
Statement B: Louisville has a pretty soft schedule. If they don't destroy the teams they do play, beating the Temples and UConns by 30 and the UCFs and Rutgerses by 10, then they're not going to the NCG. Louisville is not Notre Dame, and if they need overtime to beat a team that finishes 6-6, they take their undefeated record to a regular BCS bowl.

I see your point, but with the AAC going into G5 status next year, I don't think departing schools dominating the league this year will have all that much impact on perceptions of us. Either way, we're going to be regarded as minor league.

Louisville is going to have to ignore the hype and play hard. The opener will be tough; Mickey Tettleton's kid is a pretty dang good QB and Frank Solich can coach.

Agreed. I have said from day one when I saw Ohio on the schedule that it would be a tough game. I expect a battle in the opener.

My one complaint about Strong is that he hasn't done the best job of keeping the team focused through the entire season. UofL has had some really head scratching losses the last two seasons (FIU and Marshall in 2011, Syracuse and UConn in 2012) and the Cards are going to have to do a much better job of showing up every week if they hope to have a chance to go undefeated. Taking games off cost UofL a BCS berth in 2011 and almost cost them one in 2012.
UofL has the talent to win every game on its schedule, but the Cards can't just show up and expect to roll teams by 3 TDs.
