The Detroit Lions, not the city, are the ones who will own and operate the bowl game (link). Should still be a go.

ACC announced the top tier bowls verse G5. They will be announcing the 7-10/11 probably next week. 2 bowls are already known for Detroit and Military. The question is the next two bowls. My bet is the ACC would like to work a deal with the SEC to do Birmingham/Memphis like they did with Gator/Music. Also, I could see the same with the St. Pete/Shreveport with the CUSA.

Just a guess
7-10 spots.
Detroit vs B12
Military vs AAC
Liberty vs B12/Compass vs AAC (shared with SEC)
St. Pete/Shreveport vs AAC (Shared with CUSA)

Providing bowl slots for the AAC
Military vs ACC
Birmingham vs ACC/SEC
Independence vs CUSA/ACC
St. Pete vs CUSA/ACC

Im probably in the minority here, but that would be a bad outcome for us. Essentially the #1-#5 bowls are all about the same. Where do you send your champ?

Look, it's not a disaster line-up because with 3-5 games against the P-5, its still the very best line up in the G-5 (by a long shot), but your 5th place team pretty much gets the same post season reward as the league champion---kinda minimizes the value of the AAC CCG. Not to mention that the western teams are kinda tooled over by having all the decent games in the east.

Yeah that would be really bad. I have to hope that since it's been announced the Military is going to be in the 3-6 pool that something better than it will be available for the champ.

Nope military will not be in the 3-6 pool. That bowl will be in the 7-10 group definitely.
1. Orange(when among playoff fiesta or chic fila)
2. Russell(when big 10 is in the orange cap one will get the spot)
3.Music city/Gator
4-6. Belk/Sun/Pin stripe/
7-10. Military/Detroit/??????

That will be the lineup. As 1-6 are spoken for. Only way military creeps up is if they add some dead presidents to the table.
