It is one thing to disagree with someone. It is another to remove or edit their posts when you disagree.

HOW EMBARRASSING!

The "rusty, crumbling, stadium" that has almost 100 year old lower portion east stands (the other side, upper levels on both sides above Row 30 and the end zone seating is newer but still too old by stadium age comparisons) still has a superior playing surface, lighting and team accommodations (if the hot water problem has been fixed) so the rest is a problem for the fans, not the teams. I voted for the MPF ("MAPS") in 1998 when the city wanted to replace Legion Field and would want to again if I could. The city and its metro area still need that MPF for economic reasons and UAB still deserves to have the OCS if it wants to build it. It is a perpetual shame that the system BOT makes UAB OCS decisions apparently based upon "protecting Crimson Tide football" rather than its merits.

In regards to "the hood", the entire neighborhood through the 1970s was almost entirely "white" until people began to abandon their rental homes and the sale of the owner occupied dwellings around the stadium. My former (and late) father in law rented the third house from Graymont Ave. right across from the lions. The "project" Elyton Village was inhabited by many medical school students (through their residencies) until about that same time but they too were not replaced by later medical students when they moved out. Many of the abandoned housing in the area is now owned by people who live outside the city and maintain the houses as investment rental property and they fight any city attempts to demolish the buildings. Several have suddenly burned down due to arson or accidental fires from homeless people moving in illegally (like the one near UAB recently).

Probably the "line 'em up behind Ullman and shoot them at dawn" that rang the bell.

Is it me or is it getting hard to hang out around here if you don't toe the company line?

Yep. And the company line changes day to day.

I've enjoyed Blazertalk until now.

Wait. Somebody edited your post? Not cool.

If someone chooses to curse within posts, the mods have the right to remove the curses or the post.

There is no reason for using inappropriate language, it is a violation of the AUP and will not be tolerated.

I find it interesting that he neglected to share that rather important fact.

AUP says watch your language. It doesn't say no cursing. It leaves it open to interpretation what cursing is. It is ok to say F, but not ok to spell it out, even though they mean the same thing. Change a letter and its no longer cursing according to the preexisting standard.
