I hear what you're saying, but...

VCU is 4th in the RPI with the 2nd-ranked SOS. ODU is 22nd in the RPI with the 99th-ranked SOS. Not to mention, that VCU did drop from the rankings following their loss to ODU, but has reeled off several nice wins (i.e., they are ranked based on how they are playing right now- probably more quickly recognized in a team with their name, for sure).

My point being, VCU is probably under-ranked/appropriately-ranked. VCU isn't getting any respect it doesn't deserve. ODU is probably just not getting as much as it does deserve.
