We need a non-UL or Rutgers champion in December representing The American in the BCS. What better stage or platform to then demand better coverage than a BCS game.

Made my first anti=post on the ESPN Stanford sight today. I feel like a true, "American" now. Give me a blog or give me ,,er , um..er, just give us a blog.

I think they will let things as they stand until July 17. Remember that's the day they change their system and you no longer can comment on stories unless you log in with a Facebook account.

It will be interesting how many actually do so.

I am absolutely rooting for Cincinnati this year...that they move through the regular season ranked and set themselves up for the last home game against L-ville (who is also ranked) as the defacto champ game and then win it.

Staying on the Stanford blog limits our visibility to NCAA FB fans. If we occupy one different media per day off this list, may have louder voice.

I sure hope this is the end of the condescending bullsh!t from Aresco (and actually some with my school too) about what a great partner ESPN is.

Another idea would be to use print media blogs in our areas and sports talk radio also. If ESPN is getting negative press in the NYC, Philly, Houston, DFW, Orlando, Tampa, Memphis and Cincy/Louisville markets, they might either have to perform a public Mea Culpa or try to justify their actions. Either way it's a win!

Yep ESPN is anything but a "great partner." They will either do nothing to help the AAC or will work to try to minimize the league.

To All AAC fans: Go to the American Athletic Conference Directory page and send emails to all the important folks on the AAC staff. Tell them to ask ESPN during the next round of TV contract negotiations that we want an ESPN Sports Blog with a writer assigned to our conference to write stories, do interviews and answer comments and questions from all the AAC fans. The AAC is a P-6 conference and we need to fight like heck to help our conference stay at that level. AAC fans have had enough of ESPN's put downs of our great FB and BB conference. Gary3242
