That hire fits right in with head football coach hire they made.

Considering the resources he had and the location of the school (I have seen the cajuns mention all the oil companies in close proximity to the university, but don't recall ULM mentioning any significant industries in their area) are you all saying he should have been able to do much more than he did during his tenure?

I know nothing about Staub but Blazer fans seem to still respect him from his time spent at that university. So the question asked is intended to get insight from those who knew him.

CenturyLink's headquarters is right up the street from our campus...

No disrespect was meant, as I said, I don't know anything about Staub or the Monroe area. I am hoping the warhawk faithful can fill in the blanks for me. Does the Monroe area have companies that you believe could significant or consistent donations? Where these companies not actively pursued to contribute to the athletic program? What was Staub's mandate at ULM? Grow the department, fix issues in the department, maintain the department (make sure it remains viable)?

Do you honestly believe there was no serious attempt to get CenturyLink on board? CL has much bigger fish to fry than ULM. Monroe needs CL a whole lot more than CL needs Monroe.
