Agreed. Great city and fan base, and will be well supported.

A trip from Dallas is doable. I drove through Memphis in 1982 and 1986. This time I'll stay for a few days.

Smart choice for the tournament.

Memphis, UConn, Cinci, and Louisville were the best choices from the beggining. You really couldnt go wrong with any of them.

I like the way you listed Memphis first among those best choices.

Memphis is widely considered to be a great city to visit, with many interesting attractions and a unique culture. We are the only city in Tennessee with an Amtrac station. Also the only one with a river cruise line "The American Queen", which attracts world travelers. Golf Digest called Mirimichi, the golf course north of the city (owned by Justin Timberlake) the #1 course in Tennessee. If you are foolish enough to partake in Casino gambling, it is available across the state line. Next year, the conversion of the Pyramid to a gigantic Bass Pro store (with hotel, restaurant, observation deck, incline, etc.) will be complete

Congrats to Memphis. Hope there will be another announcement about Memphis having our champ in football in the near future.

Makes sense. Memphis fans and city support the tournament and it should be a reasonable location for other team fans.

Good move. Will be attending my first conference tourney since C-USA days. NYC and MSG always seemed too far and too expensive from Cincinnati. Some sort of Memphis-Cincinnati-??? rotation would be good for the league.

Agreed. Cincy's got a lot going for it as does Memphis when it comes to facilities for tournaments.

Memphis is a good middle ground for the first American tourney.
