Pac-12 and SEC still remain as a possible options for the Aresco Bowl. The B1G is eliminated as an option for anything better than thier #7 selection for the Aresco Bowl.
I think the PAC is set with:
Rose vs BIG
Alamo vs Big 12
Holiday vs BIG
Kraft vs BIG
Sun vs ACC
Vegas vs MWC
BWW vs Big 12
New Mexico vs MWC
They won't have a team for the bottom two every year. I expect a CUSA, Sun Belt, or texas based AAC rotation with the New Mexico bowl
There is some question about the Pac-12 staying in the New Mexico Bowl and its possible the Sun Bowl pick could be downgraded if the ACC does likewise. They might be set, or they might not be. There could be some manuevering still to do in the bottom third of the Pac-12 order. I think the order you set is about 90% locked.

CUSA needs to sign a backup deal with that bowl should one conference not be able to put a team in their

At this point I think the AAC is not in a position to ignore any available power conference opponent. If the dominoes fall wrong, we could end up with no P5 bowl opponents at all. Gotta make sure that doesn't happen.

RE: ACC Bowl lineup
Our best bowls may come from filling bowls where some conference cannot fill their allotment with enough teams that qualify?

I think the AAC has a decent shot at getting the PAC's last bowl pick. I think of all the bowls for the P5 conferences from the 2010-13 cycle, the New MExico Bowl might be the least attractive. It's a lower-FBS also-ran, in a college stadium, in a non-tourist-attraction city, outside the league footprint.
Compared to that, playing the AAC West champion in Houston (for example) looks okay.
Or the PAC might do something like the Independence Bowl against a 6-6 ACC team, or some other arrangement that gets a power-conference vs power-conference matchup.
Or basically move the New Mexico game (PAC #8 vs MWC #2) to southern California, either as the Poinsettia Bowl or a new LA bowl.

MWC actually has been in discussion with starting a bowl in LA in the coliseum but I haven't heard any progress lately
With the PAC making the playoffs most years there won't be an #8 available very often. They may only line-up 7 bowls frankly. They already have two games in Texas and their fans do not travel well East unless it is USC. You really want your number #2 to play a PAC #8 that 90% of the time they won't fill the slot? BYU really wants in the Poinsetta slot as they lost the Kraft. BYU is a better pick then a PAC #8 for the poinsettia. that one won't change
I expect the New Mexico bowl to be MWC versus CUSA/Texas Sunbelt most years frankly.
btw I would visit Albuquerque any day over Houston

SC doesn't travel for anything other than the Rose Bowl for that matter UCLA is the same. UO, OSU, UW, Wazzu, U of A, ASU, and Utah all travel well.

If they are a PAC #8 they won't travel very far with a team that is 6-6 in all likelihood.
I don't think any of those travel well over the mississippi river or texas for a low level bowl

Last I heard, the Indy was one of the few bowls actually courting the AAC... I have always counted the Independence Bowl as a "likely" get for the AAC, though what conference would be a partner is uncertain.
Can't see two SEC-AAC bowl matchups...

Id be thrilled with the Independence Bowl
3 hour drive from Dallas. Very easy drive for Tulsa, SMU, Houston, Tulane and Memphis fans.

not really, it used to be that Shreveport was the nice city and Bossier was the part you wouldn't want to visit but that has somehow reversed
