Yes, especially since (a) the Liberty Bowl is a bigger bowl, financially and in terms of status, than the Little Caesar's Bowl. And (b), Memphis is a closer destination for the Texas and OK schools that dominate the conference.
There's no incentive for the B12 to do this...they already have a tie in to the Liberty...a better bowl. Best thing for the AAC to do now, is offer their #1 to Liberty and try to get that tie in. Short of that, try to do a hybrid deal with the Liberty of some kind.
