Liberty Bowl...Does it still make sense for the AAC?
Does the AAC still have an interest in the Liberty Bowl? It seems like this bowl would be a good one to rotate between the SEC, ACC and B1G. I haven't heard much about the AAC pursuing this bowl.

With Memphis in the AAC I would see no reason that the Liberty wouldn't still keep its rotation of CUSA, BE, and SEC. Heck, most of the CUSA teams that went to the Liberty are now in the AAC.

Dude - he's a troll. Don't take his BS seriously. He just tries to stir the crap.

How was Miko not banned long ago? Now he stoops to trolling the American Athletic Conference, a league his school will never play in?
What a sad life you must lead to get your jollies this way.
WOW... You would be one of the last people I would expect to accuse me of being a troll. That's an amazing statement to make considering...
This is a serious thread. Why is it a foregone conclusion that the Liberty Bowl would desire to stay AAC, or that the AAC feels that it must stick with the Liberty Bowl simply because it is played at Memphis? The AAC could want to broaden their scope and go into other parts of the country. There are a number of reasons why it should not be assumed that the Liberty Bowl is an automatic fit for the AAC. It would make sense to see a 3 conf rotation of the ACC, SEC and Big12 to send teams to this bowl too - every bit as much sense as CUSA/MWC/ACC sharing this bowl.

Miko
I've called you a troll for years. Because you've been trolling for years. Anyone who's paid attention knows it.
PS Putrid attempt to get this troll back on track. This is most certainly not a serious thread. Anyone who has read Memphis' contract with the Big East back in February 2012 knows you are just a sad little troll with zero life.
Why don't you run along to the ACC board. Here's a serious question you can post over there: Will Pitt win an ACC title in football or basketball in Miko's lifetime?

I'm betting the don't.
I'm trying to have a serious discussion here considering the big discussions out there are pertaining to the bowl lineups that all of the conferences are working up. We've already seen the AAC make a strategic withdrawal from the Pinstripe so that it can refocus on its geographic area of coverage. I'm trying to see what the AAC thinks about the Liberty. If they don't want it, I would like to see the ACC get involved with it. Or if the Liberty wants to move to different conferences, would like to get your take on which ones you think fit best.
What bowls are the AAC targeting right now? I haven't seen much news about Aresco talking to the bowls. Maybe the AAC is in on the Gator, Sun or Champs bowls? IDK, let me know.

Why do you care about the AAC bowl line up? Answer: you don't. You are simply trolling a board of schools less fortunate than Pitt in the realignment game. It's very revealing of your character.
Second, you know damn well the AAC made no strategic decision to withdraw from the Pinstripe Bowl. Aresco was asked about it in his March 19 press conference and said we hope to keep the bowl because it is important to us and that the Yankees do an incredible job with the bowl. If we lose the bowl to the ACC, no matter how happy that makes your smarmy ass, it wasn't by choice.
Moderators, please ban this fool from this board. He has no business here.

Ok, if the AAC is focusing on bowls that fit the geographic region. Why in the hell would they let the Liberty Bowl go? It fits the the AAC geographic fit. Half the schools in this conference have played in it. Why would we want to give it to the freaking ACC? If you guys are feeling bold enough to play the AAC in the bowl then I have no problem.
