Why do you east division folks keep saying this? You're not the ones that will be in a division that will have you traveling to Idaho, New Mexico, and west Texas on a regular basis. Just admit it... stAte, UL (oh and ULM too I guess) are all getting screwed from behind with no lubrication. Ohio and Illinois are closer to us than our new conference mates!

It's just BTH who is saying this. His blind loyalty to the conference completely overrides any common sense or logic about the situation.

BTH is blindly loyal because he knows Troy has no possibility of going anywhere. They're stuck here, so he's got to make the best of it.

Troy, ULM, stAte, and UL...the 4 Horsemen, huh? Maybe it should be; Troy, South Alabama, Ga Southern, and App State? One of these days we'll find a core with some loyalty about'em.
I had my mind straight on losing WKU. I had my mind adjusted to taking NMSU.
But all that PLUS Idaho has done it.
I go on a business trip today and everyone's boards explode. I can't get caught up.
But, the way I see it, the SBC knows it's losing 2 schools (I don't know which two). That'll leave only 7 schools in 2014. NMSU and Idaho were the only options to get them back to a 9 team 8 game schedule in 2014. By 2015, you'll have AppSt and GaSo joining so that gets you to 11 teams. I think there'll be one more added to get it to 12 teams in 2 divisions of 6.
Sorry if someone already stated this. Too many threads and posts on multiple boards today. Sadly, it's appearing that nearly all of them say the same thing.

Don't kid yourself it's not blind loyalty. It's self preservation. Troy has zero chance of moving so of course they want everyone to stay. It's like the guy in the votech building telling you how lame college was going to be.

Wouldn't it be easier to just start griping about being in CUSA for practice purposes?
If you guys leave and the Sun Belt does 75% as well as it should, you will miss us.

Arkansas State doesn't recruit the midwest much do ya? I can't imagine the Red Wolves have a bunch of boys from Indiana and Michigan on the squad.
I agree completely. This would be worse than playing Idaho and New Mexico State annually.

The Western teams are the ones that pushed for Idaho and NMSU over others.

What I hope most readers here get out of reading this board is that these ASU fans that have taken over this board know little or nothing about what is really going on at ASU, or the SBC.
The system ASU President has to spend a lot of his time putting out fires started by these posters cause, and that includes the most respected ASU poster on this board.
One thing is for sure they are interested in advancing their own agenda, not ASU's, or the SBC's.

Sadly, there's truth to that at other schools as well. Although we all like to believe we have no power on these boards, spouting rumors, criticisms, etc. but the reality is that in today's world, much of the news is now caused by the written word on message boards. ... Everyone thinks they're an insider.

Nah...I get all ya'll stAte fans mixed up. But there is some truth to what he's saying....maybe/maybe not at stAte, but definitely some school admins have had to deal with what's been said/spread on message boards by folks with agendas.

Tiger Woods would agree, Winning takes care of everything. You've just added two programs that SHOULD compete at a very high level. Adding two teams with 9 FCS titles in the previous 25 seasons, THAT"S ALMOST EVERY OTHER YEAR IN THE HUNT, with attendance rivaling or exceeding their new peers playing FCS level competition. Now that we're in there's no need to create a new conference. Jax State, JM, Delaware, Montana State, Liberty, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee Chat, or any of the quality programs at the FCS level will be in great positions soon to make the move. Half of these had higher Sagarin ratings than SB and CUSA's current members. The Sun Belt is in a great position to grow and with quality programs coming in to feel the vacancies, Teams from Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and the Carolina's get my attention long term. NO WORRIES! CUSA Rocks!

Ok well ill say this... always look at the reputation of posters that make a claim like that. some of the stAte posters pocket books (myself included) depend on knowing what is going on at Arkansas State. while i have the insider tag above my name my main source is no longer in place. BUT that doesn't mean i don't have connections, and i know for a fact Arkstfan (who cinamonroll was referring too) has more sources and connections that i could even fathom.
