Watched the whole thing. Thought Klinsmann was going to sub out Beasley but he went offensive. It paid off. Guzan played amazing. As well as Beasler. Glad we got out of Azteca with a point. in my book thats a win.

Huge win! Only the second point we've ever got in qualifying at Azteca. With the friendly win and the qualifying draw, perhaps we are chipping away at their home field confidence.

RE: World Cup Qualifier USA vs. Mexico
My only real concern was the complete lack of offense.
I understand a few key players were out but damn.
Gonzalez looks as if he could start in the center and Beasley did surprisingly well in key moments.
I'd look into keeping E.J. on the field as a starter perhaps up top with Altidore in a 4-4-2.
Those are our best two strikers at this moment. When Donovan comes back he and Dempsy will anchor a pretty solid midfield.

I need to check Gen. Discussion folder more often. What a game. Was kind of weird for the offensive subs, and then to go into a shell defense. Probably put Shea and a fresh EJ in there for some possible counters. My men of the match for positions:
DEF: Gonzales
MID: Bradley (98 completed passing percentage)
FWD: Wash
DMB made a few mistakes, but fought the whole game with little LB experience. We knew they'd attack him the entire night. I wish Bradley would come up more often and attack like he did on that 1-2 with Dempsey.
Suck it Mexico.

That Shea is an awesome player when he is healthy.
Shea, Bradley, Donovan, and Dempsy is a pretty damn good midfield.

Yea, last year he kind of underwhelmed at FC Dallas. Haven't followed too much of his stuff at Stoke, but I still like Zusi starting. But that is a pretty dang good midfield. Gonzales, Beslar, Cameron, and Fabian Johnson (when he returns) will be a good base to build off of.
Baby Bradley's game is starting to look a lot like De Rossi's, which is why I was ecstatic when he signed with Roma.
