On behalf of Hokies everywhere, I want to formally apologize for starting the trend which has resulted in this abomination.

The WF is cool... the Deacon, not so much.

Are these just for one game?

Meh. It would be cool if they could make it look like the Deacs top hat.

HATE the VT turkey helmets, especially turkey tracks.

Love the turkey tracks & love both Wake Forest helmets.

Our home uniform with the shiny black helmet and gold WF is a great look and shouldn't be messed with, but our road uniforms and helmets could use some work.

I don't care for the new ones at first glance, but maybe I'll feel differently when I see the players wearing them on the field.

An all white set could look pretty awesome for road games.

The Helmet Project

I like it the Demon Deacon helmet, but to me it seems to be behind the ear hole to much. Move it forward some even if the snaps have to be trimmed out to do so it would look much better. Also scale it down just enough to where you could add stripes to the top of the helmet either one black solid one or three with a gold one in the middle and two black ones on the side.

I'm a fan of single-color helmets that are one of the school's colors. I like to keep things simple.

Essentially, the less you look like Syracuse's grey Nike Georgetown-looking jersey basketball, UMD's Maryland flag Underarmor jersey, or UCLA's Adidas basketball jersey, the better.

Whoever designed those uniforms should be deported back to the axis of evil country from which they came. Scratch that, they should be forced to go to a B1G/SEC/Big XII school and Michigan, Vanderbilt, Baylor, Texas, and Northwestern are off the table.

For the past decade, we've only used the shiny black helmet with gold WF for both home and away. So yes that's the same helmet in both photos.

I was just saying that I'm not as attached to the road uniforms so if we use a white or gold helmet then I'll at least give it a chance. I hope we don't mess with the home uniforms though.
