Yes, hate each other, it makes for so much more fun. Although WKU doesn't hate MTSKKKU as much as MTSKKKU hates WKU (that's because MTSKKKU is the little brother), you'll learn to love to hate some folks and it's good for all.

That was one of the most accurate statements I have seen on this board since I have been here. I think that it is clear now that the big media market strategy that other conferences have employed is turning out to be a bust, especially after seeing the great "windfall" the "conference formerly known as" made on their recent rights agreement. Those who subscribed to that misplaced strategy are only paving the way for the Sun Belt to move into a stronger position. Good football played before packed stadiums trumps weak teams playing before nearly empty stadiums in large towns every day.

Looking forward to enjoying our time here in the Sun Belt. Still can't believe the move is actually happening, it's crazy to think that something I've been thinking about for quite a few years is actually about to take place.

Thanks for the warm welcome to the Sun Belt and the instructions on SBC fanship. I am looking forward to the start of conference competition.

Well, you'll be beating FBS programs more often for one.

You want to get into a bowl game and beat stronger FBS programs and upset the occasional BCS giant. Your aspirations are getting people to give a damn about you besides folks in your little circle in southern Georgia.

It will always be a challenge to get people to give a damn about us when UGA still fields a team in this state

Don't complain too much, you are 3rd in a very good football state. Try being 6th in a basketball state.

Both schools have a very large internet presence. I'd expect a lot more in the coming weeks.

This is my first post to the boards as I just joined last night so forgive me if this is a little long. I would like to extend a long anticipated welcome to Georgia Southern and Appalachian State and a belated welcome to Texas State, Georgia State and Texas-Arlington. You guys are great additions for the Sun Belt. I, as many of you I am sure, will be happy when all this realignment subsides as it has caused some ill-will between friends. Living in Key West, I have loved going to FIU and FAU to watch my Trojans (even though we have struggled lately). You will be missed. Good luck in your new home. Same to MTSU and UNT. However, I am surprised at the discussions among the G5 fans of one believing they are superior to another as we are ALL in the same boat. The financial aspects that have caused some to seek new homes will equalize in the near future. My hope is that the schools who have left the SB will continue to prosper and remember their roots. This is a good conference with good people and great fans. As a die-hard TROY fan and contributor, I actually would welcome Jax State for a great rivalry contrary to many of my fellow alums. I have followed Georgia State boards and am shocked at so many fans complaining of being in the SB with FCS move-ups especially since they are also among that class. I believe that having them both in the same conference will fill both stadiums. That simply cannot be a negative thing. I understand rivalries but sometimes the emotions involved can be counterproductive and actually ridiculous. It is time to celebrate and move forward TOGETHER as a conference. I will be seeing you in Boone and Statesboro and I really want to see San Marcos (looks totally cool). Atlanta will be a great opportunity to see my favorite aunt and a good game. I make at least 3-4 games per year and have been to each stadium of all current members. Each one was a blast with wonderful people. I am confident the newbies will be just as terrific. I wish nothing but the best for them all as well as those who are departing.

I've rooted for all SBC teams, even FIU sometimes in any OOC game. The same is done for other FBS conferences.

Well done guys. My brother is an alum and I go to at least one game in Boone every year, now I get to see them play at Troy. The Sun belt got a bunch of new fans by adding App, including me.
