Amen. Koolaid drinkers are amazing. He barely beats one team in the NCAA tournament, which was a play in team by the way, can't beat an AP top twenty-five team and they want to give him a blank check. Be careful what you wish for.

the knocks on Pastner since last NCAA are he can't win an NCAA Tournament game and he can't beat a ranked team. He did both Thursday and now you try to discount the accompishment saying, "He barely beats one team in the NCAA tournament, which was a play in team by the way, can't beat an AP top twenty-five team."

getting little nit-picky now

Josh is like an Internet stock in the late 1990s. He is way overvalued pay-wise based on results. We are paying for potential at a premium.

Lets hope the bubble doesn't burst.

Stop with the Top 25 thing, nobody cares about the Coaches poll. It's ESPN's property and they don't even reference it.

go head and start changing rules because Pastner accomplished it, if that makes your argument feel more worthy

RE: CA: Tigers looking to extend Pastner
Is Bowen secure enough in his manhood to do what is needed and give Pastner full control of scheduling. Or will he drive Pastner away with his insecurities and need to have total control?

He deserves something extra. He's kept us relevant. With the class coming in you have to lock him up. He deserves to get to coach that class. With UCLA job opened up right now you have to lock him in. Any time a blue blood program has an opening you have to be proactive & lock up the 2nd best recruiter in basketball. As much as I've questioned some of his coaching moves, even I see the importance of keeping him.

I love this team, wish for it to do better, and will be a Tiger fan until I die. But I am just not going to settle. If you guys are happy with status quo of beating one ranked team every few years and getting our brains pounded in at tourney time I guess I am in.

RE: CA: Tigers looking to extend Pastner
pastner was the 4th assistant on the former staff who head coach nuked our entire recruiting class and left us to deal with the derrick rose fallout. so from that standing start, the man has 106 wins to only 34 losses, 1 nit appearance, 3 ncaa appearances, 2 cusa regular titles, 3 cusa tournament titles and the #2 recruiting class in the nation. yet some of you [self edit] question whether or not he deserves a raise and extension. just mind boggling. its not just coach BS when he says that IT IS NOT A BIRTHRIGHT

RE: CA: Tigers looking to extend Pastner
Let's see: been here four years, three straight NCAAs, reaches the round of 32 and has the 2nd ranked recruiting class coming in for next year. Oh, and started four years ago with five players.

I was here when we lost Gene Bartow because the AD didn't have the good sense to give him a big raise. Thank goodness this AD isn't making the same mistake.

It's their money, if they don't feel it's well spend, they won't spend it.

All that matters really Are NCAA wins. Top 25 wins are just lipstick on a pig.
