Should have got a block that was ridiculously called a foul then on the next defensive possession Temple gaurd shoves Purvis to the floor and the ref calls the foul on Purvis! NCSU hasn't helped themselves much today but with under 30 seconds left those are two terrible calls.

I missed the game but it does sound like some calls went against them. In the end it though it comes down to this... Gottfried has never been able to coach his way out of a paper bag and that hasn't changed at NC St. His team is in the running of underachiever of the year and may take that title if it wasn't for Kentucky.

RE: 2 horrid calls down the stretch against NCSU!
Media expectations for State were way too hig to start the season. They had no where to go but down. They had a very good run in the post season last year but up to that point were just okay. They probably were about three games removed this year from what they should have been. They could have finished third in the conference but lost some games they could just have easily won. Those are the breaks that come with the game, just as those two bad calls were today.

Gottifried seems to be a good coach, especially compared with the last two coaches state had. The team is organized and calm during the closing seconds of close games, they execute plays and he calls time outs at the right times it appears to me. He also seems to work well with the players, motivating them and disciplining them when needed. Keeping CJ Leslie's head straight is a major undertaking and juggling the three new players with the veterans along with working with only 8 scholarship players seemed to have been done well.

For anyone that has followed the Pack for any amount of time things are definitely look. I've followed them all my life and while this isn't up there with the Norm Sloan years it is approaching the Valvono era and it is so far ahead of the Sendak and Lowe years it isn't even close. The Wolfpack are on an upswing.
