RPI and ACC-B1G Challenge?
Next season the B1G will have 12 teams, and the ACC will have 15 teams. Does this mean three teams with the worst RPI in the ACC get left out? If so Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest will be sitting out next season.

NCAA RPI Rankings <--Link
1. 1. Duke
2. 4. Miami
3. 17. Syracuse
4. 19. North Carolina
5. 28. NC State
6. 40. Pitt
7. 44. Notre Dame
8. 66. Virginia
9. 82. Florida State
10. 86. Maryland
11. 118. Boston College
12. 130. Georgia Tech
----------------------
13. 167. Wake Forest
14. 173. Virginia Tech
15. 177. Clemson

Yes. Top 12 make the cut.

I think it's safe to say the ACC will win the challenge every year.

The only hangup I can see is that I'm not sure if Notre Dame would have an issue scheduling it or not. They wouldn't have planned for it in advance like Cuse and Pitt would have.

How about this idea...Rutgers could play either VT or Clemson that same week and have Maryland play Louisville that week instead of a Big10 team. That would only leave one of VT/Clemson out.

The ACC has already announced this decision - LINK.

Keep in mind that in 2014 the Big Ten will have 14 teams, so only 1 ACC team would sit out.

Question with big 10 agressive stand against the acc, maybe acc dumps any big 10 partnership and replaces with sec. Big 10 won't have anyone to play with.

Except themselves

Well, we are talking about basketball, right? Could you REALLY call a series of basketball games between the ACC and the SEC a "challenge"?

I guess you've never heard of the Big East.
