It is the technology involved...not this application of it that is could be a concern. Evidently I was not communicating this effectively.

Ok...how could the 'technology involved' be misused? 03-confused

It clearly states that this technology lends itself to installation of other hardware wirelessly controlled from police cars. I don't see what is so hard to understand here. Use your imagination.

And like I said before, a lot of you are really stretching on what you think the government can 'misuse'. 01-wingedeagle

I am not embarrassed in the least to fully admit that I do not trust anyone in a position of bureaucratic authority to be acting in my best interest. Anyone paying even the slightest amount of attention should be able to understand this.

I suggest folks that believe everything is wonderful and that those in power always have the best intentions might want to google...Pastor Martin Neimoller.

Big O supporter.

I am not going to go "black Helicopers" on this issue. I do however think we should always ask these questions up front. No harm in that.

THIS is what most people don't understand on many issues like these... or like Patriot Act. They think it's okay because they trust the guy currently in office... but that person won't always be in office.

Exactly. When is the last time someone coming into office disposed of the "tools" left behind by the previous office holder? They always pick those tools up and expand their use beyond the original scope and budget. It happens almost every damn time. Just once I'd like to see a bureaucrat say..."I think this might be going too far."
