Blaudschun: The Deal Is Not Done
"The only problem on Friday morning was that the remaining Big East Presidents meeting in Atlanta hadn’t AGREED or signed off on ANYTHING yet. No final money offer had been agreed and we are talking millions of dollars that the Catholic 7 would leave on the table for the privilege of leaving early and taking on the Big East name."

As someone said on the BE board.

Isn't this the guy who said...

Boise was staying

They would have a deal with NBC

They would keep the name

Yes, Aresco's the guy who said all those things. And they were true--that day.

RE: Blaudschun: The Deal Is Not Done
This is getting annoying. Why report something before its a fact? I'm more interested in having it confirmed what teams will jin the c7 than when. I won't believe anything until the official press releases coming from the BE, the C7 and the schools invited.

New York Time is reporting that ND will "more then likly" be with the Big East Basketball Sentric conference for 2013 as the 10th team then head to the ACC.

That is contrary to the first paragraph of the article which states that the C7 is expanding to 10 and adding X, BU and Creighton.

I read the ND comment to mean the will likely stay in the old BE for one more year.

I see it as them being the number 10 team, then Creighton coming in after.

Based on what has been reported most consistently it would appear that Creighton's inclusion in 2013-14 may be contingent on whether ND wants to come on board for one year.

It would probably be better for your blood pressure if you don't pay any attention to the US media.
