Merge with the MWC
The former Big East merges with the MWC and becomes the Big Mountain Conference.

The winner of the Mountain East plays the winner of the Mountain West.

It would clearly be the #6 football league so the champion gets a BCS bid.

It would be a solid basketball conference too with many NCAA bids.

The only East/West national all sports conference.

RE: Merge with the MWC
The Tulane President tried to get the MWC and CUSA to merge but it fell apart before it happened when the BCS conferences began the latest round of musical chairs.
