Serious question about C7 voting powers.
Can anyone already in the BE tell me if they can actually vote on tv or membership post their exit date? THey did vote to leave the league so.. why would they have any say over teams coming in on the other side of their exits?

I could get the last two years they are still in the "BE."

They have not officially withdrawn so they may have the ability to vote if they really tried or wanted to. But I do not think they did or even attempted to.

As far as I know, they only gave their intent to withdraw and now the lawyers are working out the official split. Although, I haven't been tracking this like hawk recently.

RE: Serious question about C7 voting powers.
I have to think based on the evidence (as of 1:20 PM EST on Weds. 2/27/13):

-ECU still does not have an all-sports invite
-Zero movement on expansion since C7 announced intent to depart
-TV deal still not ratified

That yes, the C7 still have voting powers, and likely will until they officially announce a departure date.

I was thinking today.... does the term withdrawing in this case pertain to who keeps the BE name?

C7 withdrawing from BE

vs.

others withdrawing from BE

No. There is a special agreement in place that makes it totally different.
