Come on guys! It's a quote from a National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. They're all sitting around the table eating on x-mas eve, Clark (Chevy Chase) looks up and says to the kids that a pilot spotted Santa's sleigh. All the kids get excited. That's when cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) looks up and says: "You serious Clark?"

Only National Lampoon movie I watched and paid a lot of attention to was Animal House.

I would suggest Christmas Vacation and Family Vacation but you're not missing much with European or Vegas Vacations.

European Vacation is a g#$ d#$d classic.

I agree, Vegas Vacation is hot garbage.

Hearing from good sources Ark State and ULL are making a play for CUSA.

Yes, but WKU is # 14
ASU and ULL are pusing for #15 and #16

This is why you heard the report of 3 schools not voting on the additions to the SBC.....

Apart from all of the great English actors who make cameos, it also has Billy Zabka -- the archvillian of every 80's movie, and he's Audrey's boyfriend Jack.

My 30 year old son tells me that all the time. Having lived through the Animal House years with all the toga parties on campus and Chevy Chase coming of age on SNL I am very aware of the National Lampoon movies. But that "Internet memes" stuff had me stumped. 03-confused

The info I received was GSU & App State had the support of everyone, but the room was divided on NMSU & Idaho. The reality is unless you were in the room you don't actually know what was said.

I didnt say that, but being from a basketball school, NCAA tournament is very successful and you have to be respectable too on the basketball court conf. wise....if not you do lose a lot of credability that can carry over to football...

If you win your conference, it doesn't matter how "respectable" your conference is. Basketball is not like football in that your destiny is entirely in your hands. Win your games, and you get to the top.

You really are dense.

With basketball and the field of 68, it's more than just the automatic bid at stake. A conference would be wise to raise its RPI in order to draw an at large bid.

MT should not be on the outside looking in, but that has a very real shot of happening now because the didn't grab the automatic bid.

So in your world, where it's every team for itself, your reward for winning the tournament is a "first round" game or a 16 seed.

Well, I want better for the confernece.

This conference used to routinely draw the 12 seed, occasionally creeping into an 8-9. Since that point, it's been a slow, steady decline where even a 25 win season is rewarded with a 15 seed.

You do realize that no 16 seed has ever upset a 1?
You do also realize that a 12 seed pulls the upset over the 5 more than any other upset?

Maybe you're happy with the one bid league.

But I sure and the hell am not happy seeing our teams get "rewarded" with no win situations.

Dense huh? Do you actually think that there is any way in hell that the Sun Belt is not going to be a one-bid league, regardless of who we invite? Teams may get better over time, but for right now there is no "good" option for basketball.

You sir, are delusional if you think that any expansion scenario will help the basketball reputation of this conference - it simply isn't going to happen. Accordingly, as a "basketball" school, the only thing you should be focused on is winning the auto-bid.

Expansion won't help. The entire conference has to schedule tougher and then win the games. No easy road.

Remove Liberty. That puts us at 13 basketball and 11 football.

I'd say remove Liberty and Georgia Southern. Put USA back in the East. Add NMSU in the West. WKU, NMSU, USA, Louisiana-Lafayette, UTA and ASU... We could work with that for basketball. Others would have to make an effort to improve.
