Dodds is a crazy, bitter, psychotic old man.....no one is disputing that.....but to say Mizzou is "still in Texas's head" is to suggest that they once owned Texas in football, which never came close to happening.

It's time for Dodds to go. He's petty and irrational.

He's has that crazy, senile old uncle that somehow shows up at every family gathering even though nobody invited him or even told him about it.

If I were a Longhorn fan I would be absolutely frightened at the prospect that Dodds may NEVER retire, but rather keep regenerating like Keith Richards or Iggy Popp.

The once proud program has been on a long, slow march to irrelevance. And every time a Dodd quote is released, the reason why becomes all too clear.

Dodds is talking about their overall program.

Dodds is the best money man in the business. He's mad that Missouri refusing to wait one year cost the Big 12 $15 million towards WVU's exit fees + legal costs.

It is in his contract that Dodds gets a VERY substantial lifetime annual annuity payment if he completes this year. Dodds will retire in early 2014. That is why Mack Brown & Rick Barnes are safe for now.....Dodds knows this his replacement will want to make those hires.

RE: Looks like Mizzou is still inTexas's head
Since the inception of the Big XII, the futility of the Mizzou athletic department was topped only by KSU. Their only success of note was a couple of bball tourney championships (never won a regular season title) and a baseball tourney championship (also never won a regular season title.) No championships of any kind in football or women's basketball. Hell, at least KSU has a couple of football championships.

I sincerely doubt Dodds really gives a **** about Mizzou.

Dodds was the best money man in the business. I don't think that is the case anymore. He's beyond his prime now and it is time for him to hang it up.

If anyone was in his head on the football side, you'd think it'd be his old friends in Manhattan. Snyder has had a lot of success against Brown.

Dodds is getting dangerously close to believing his own bullsh!t. And that is bad place to be.

I sincerely doubt Dodds really gives a sh*t about anyone other than the Longhorns. As an SMU fan, you might want to brush up on your SWC history before defending the University of Texas.

I know my SWC history, and I wasn't defending UT. I don't like Dodds, but that doesn't mean I can't try to look at the situation objectively and state my opinion, whether or not it's favorable to UT.
