The news out of Dallas BCS conference commissioner's meeting is the new football playoff selection committee will consist of 14-20 members. Each conference will likely have a representative that is connected with the conference. Also, it may include a retired coach. The rest would be football experts.

The first championship game site, probably Arlington Texas, and host game sites are expected to be selected at next meeting April 23-25.

What does "news out of Dallas" mean? Dallas is quite a large city.

Yep. I saw the news on ESPN a couple days ago. Selecting the people ought to be fun to watch...

Having 20 persons actually makes more sense in this case than having thousands. They become Much more responsible for how this goes down. People will have names to blame rather than a list of persons with voting privilege that is 2000 persons in length.

Those 20 persons in the end will want to have strict bylaws in regards to how they go about their process. It will be a fun day when that "Constitution" is released to the public.

I think "News from BCS Conference Commissioners' Meeting" would have everyone on the board reading it. "News from Dallas" may not.

The people who would care, I guess, wouldn't know, because they wouldn't read it.
